MONROE, LA,  –  Duck Dynasty  star Phil Robertson said the only reason cultural liberals  demanded his ouster from the A&E reality show  is because he told the truth about sexual sins , and they wanted to justify their behavior instead of repenting. Slightly under nine minutes into his 43-minute sermon, which garnered reactions from many media sources this week, Robertson spoke about the many lists of sins humans are vulnerable to. According to Robertson, "I gave some guy one list. You say, 'Were they mad at you about that list?' They were mad at me." "You say 'Why did they get mad at you?'" continued Robertson to the gathered parishioners. "Because instead of acknowledging their sin – as you had better do – they railed against me for giving them the truth about their sins. Because he offended a secular left at war with orthodox Christianity, he must be punished. Phil Robertson both chose to put their respective faiths ahead of profits. What we should not shy away from is that Phil Robertson articulated very Biblical doctrine. He referenced scripture. Homosexual acts are, in fact, sinful according to the Bible. And as society begins to openly tolerate as normal things that really are not normal behaviors, society tends to start loosening up across the board as it descends down a slippery slope. Another beloved television celebrity has "come out" and said to the world, "I am gay." This time its ABC's Good Morning America host, Robin Roberts . CNN says that Roberts has always been "open about her health battles, but she has not previously spoken publicly about her sexuality." [1] The timing of Robert's announcement begs the question: Why now? On May 8, 2012, North Carolina approved a marriage protection amendment to its constitution, defining marriage as one man and one woman. The amendment was approved by the electorate 61% to 39%. The campaign's purpose is to inspire viewers by showing that for every negative situation in life there is an equally positive experience. The commercial includes a sequence of negative experiences, such as losing a wrestling match or public vandalism, juxtaposed with positive situations, such as a mother frosting a cake or people dancing to live music. The gay bullying and intimidation deployed against Duck Dynasty ’s Phil Robertson is nothing new to the ex-gay community. For too long in this country, gay rights organizations have incorporated ex-gay bashing as an integral part of their mission. Christian ex-gays are ridiculed for their faith, while people seeking therapy for unwanted same-sex attractions are painted as dangerously delusional. On this one-way street of intolerance, former homosexuals are accused of being liars or fakes while transgenders are celebrated for changing their gender identity. Update (Dec. 30): Last week, A&E reversed its suspension of Phil Robertson from  Duck Dynasty as leading petitions for the patriach's reinstatement topped 1 million supporters on Facebook , while a call for a boycott of the network approached 2 million . Make no mistake, that was a purely financial decision.
