How the Pope's Homosexual comments got mangled

Image
Pope Francis pulled a surprise on reporters when he walked back to the press section of his Alitalia papal flight from Brazil and entered into an open press conference that lasted more than an hour. The Pope gave the press what Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton offered as presidents—a casual question and answer session that was on the record. The biggest headline from the Pope’s remarks was not what he had to say about the scandals at the Vatican Bank , but what he said about homosexuality and, in particular, homosexuals in the priesthood. The key sentence in the Pope’s remarks is this: “If a person is gay and seeks the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge that person?” The papal remarks put the international press into a frenzy. Headlines across the world announced a revolution in Roman Catholic moral teaching, a changed position on homosexuality, or at least an historic “new openness” on the issue of homosexuality. Predictably, a closer look reveals a more complicated and

Is the pontificate of Francis in the clutches of the gay lobby?

The recent revelations of homoerotic, blasphemous art in the Cathedral of Terni, commissioned by Archbishop Paglia, now the head of the Vatican office that oversees the St. John Paul II Institute for Studies in Marriage and Family worldwide, raise several vital issues that need to be urgently addressed.  The protection of Catholic marriages, families, youth and the Church depend upon a correct resolution of this scandal. To begin with, the exposition of homoerotic art in Archbishop Paglia’s Cathedral from 2007 raises the important question of how he could ever have been chosen to lead the Pontifical Council for the Family and later the Pontifical Academy for Life and the John Paul II Institute for Studies in Marriage and Family. It is now clear that he opposes the Church’s teaching on sexual morality. This question in itself requires an inquiry as to the intentions and criteria used within the Vatican for appointments under Pope Francis. Archbishop Paglia’s use of homoero

Gender ideology and other dogmas of the new global order

Image
Under the guise of fighting homophobia, sex education , freedom of choice, LGBT rights, and non-discrimination we are experiencing the imposition of gender ideology.  An ideology that is asserted all over the world with religious fervor. Unlike the Christian faith however, this set of beliefs is imposed rather than proposed. It is the intellectual underpinning of the homosexual movement.  It proposes that a person’s sex is not biologically determined but that it was historically socially constructed and that individuals should have the choice to determine their own sex – or gender.  It is a belief system that denies bodily reality and forbids even the consideration of the risk factors associated with abnormal sexual activity.  It employs the education system, national legislation, attacks on religion and the Church in an effort to achieve total adherence. To demonstrate how ubiquitous is the new faith, you may note that there are now 71 different genders to choose from when y

Gay Vatican official who ‘came out’ may influence Synod in a way he didn’t expect—or want

Msgr. Krzystof Charamsa evidently thought that he was advancing the homosexual cause by coming out as gay on the eve of the Synod of Bishops . I think he miscalculated badly. The Vatican quickly dismissed Msgr. Charamsa from his post at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF). He had anticipated that, and said he was willing to accept it for the good of the cause. “I’m prepared to pay the consequences, but it’s time the Church opened its eyes, and realized that offering gay believers total abstinence from a life of love is inhuman.”  Sure, the Polish priest captured the headlines. When an official of the Roman Curia proudly announces that he has a homosexual lover, he’s will draw plenty of publicity. Given the sympathies of the mass media, most of that publicity will be favorable.  But Msgr. Charamsa said that he wanted to influence the Synod by his announcement; he wanted to impress upon the bishops that homosexual love “must be nourished by the Church.”

Pope Francis condemns gender theory a third time: ‘The family is under attack’

English: Pope Benedict XVI during general audition (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) NAPLES, Italy, March 23, 2015 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) -- For at least the third time in his pontificate Pope Francis has used very strong language to condemn the gender theory, one of the intellectual underpinnings of the ‘ LGBT ’ agenda. Speaking  Sunday with young people  on his voyage to Naples, Italy, Pope Francis spoke of the “ideological colonization” of families seen throughout Europe and the West. “ Gender theory is an error of the human mind that leads to so much confusion," he said. “So the family is under attack.” As to how to deal with the “secularization” or the “ideological colonization,” the pope said he does not have the answer. He pointed however to the Synod on the Family, which he called inspired by the Lord. The comments echo those made in an  in-flight interview  Pope Francis gave while returning from Manila in the Philippines on January 19, 2015. Francis lamented the Wester

Vatican clarifies: Pope did not express support for homosexual civil unions during Q&A

ROME, – After some Italian journalists reported that remarks about a lesbian fiancee made by Pope Francis during  a Q&A  showed that the pope is open to the homosexual civil union legislation currently being considered in Italy , the Vatican has issued a statement denying those media reports.  The reports are the latest in a spate of media portrayals that paint Pope Francis as open to homosexuality, which reached its apex with the selection of Pope Francis as  person of the year by the homosexual activist magazine The Advocate .  A Vatican clarification issued today to  Vatican radio  noted, however, that the pope did not take a position on the civil unions legislation in his remarks, which predated the debate in Italy.  The text of the Q&A session, which occurred on November 29, was released this past Friday in the Jesuit Journal L a Civilta Cattolica .  During  that Q&A , the pope recalled a complex situation he encountered while in Buenos Aires. “I reme
