The Boy Scouts of America took the final step Monday in lifting its ban on Scout leaders who openly profess homosexuality – but many gay activists decried the change for not going far enough. The BSA executive committee  passed a resolution  to lift the ban two weeks ago.  On Monday, July 27, the National Executive Board  ratified the decision , with 79% of the board's 80 members agreeing. The shift in policy incurred lukewarm approval from homosexual activists, with many expressing disapproval of the policy’s religious exemption clause. DENVER, CO , June 25, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – A Colorado governing body has ruled that a 6-year old boy, who his parents claims is ‘ transgender ,’ was discriminated against when officials at his elementary school prohibited him from using the girls ’ restroom . In 2011, when Coy Mathis started elementary school, his family and school agreed to treat Coy as a girl and let him use the girls’ restroom.  However, the school decided to ban Coy from his continued use of the girls’ facilities this past winter break.  The reason for the school’s change has not been made public. Parents of the six-year-old boy filed a complaint with The Colorado Division of Civil Rights in February. FARMINGTON, UT , November 15, 2012, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The ACLU has  filed a lawsuit  to force a Utah school district to keep a lesbian advocacy book on elementary school library shelves. The ACLU believes kindergarten-age children deserve access to this book. In the Davis School District in Utah, children as young as kindergarten age can check out a homosexual propaganda book called  In My Mothers’ House , about three adopted kids and their lesbian “mothers,” if their parents sign a permission slip. The book was removed from shelves after another Windridge mother complained to school officials when her kindergartner brought it home. It is presently kept behind the counter. This minor obstacle motivated the ACLU to seeking to force the school district to put the book back on its library shelves, making it available to all children without restriction. The poll was conducted for World Net Daily by the public-opinion and media consulting company Wenzel Strategies.   The telephone survey conducted April 19-21 asked the question: “Do you believe elementary school children should be taught that homosexuality is a normal alternative lifestyle?” Only 22 percent of respondents said they believe such teaching would be right, while another 13 percent said they were unsure.  The vast majority – 65 percent – said they do not approve of such teaching. “Whether they object on moral grounds or simply out of concern that many U.S. schools are failing in their core missions of teaching basics doesn’t really matter – the vast majority of American adults want this type of curriculum kept out of the classroom,” Wenzel chief Fritz Wenzel said. “
