Drunk men using trans law to invade women’s bathrooms, says Alberta bar

An Alberta tavern has come under fire for banning men — whether or not they are presenting or transitioning into “women” — from using the women’s bathroom. But Medicine Hat’s Corona Tavern says it did so because drunken men claiming to be transgendered have been entering the women’s bathroom since Rachel Notley’s NDP government passed its “trans rights” Bill 7. “This has caused some young female patrons to feel unsafe and threatened,” the bar’s management said in a  Tuesday press release . The Corona was hit by a maelstrom of criticism after 21-year-old Calgarian River Rising -- a man who presents as a woman -- related on Facebook that while in the small southern Alberta city for a friend’s wedding, he was questioned by the bar’s bouncers and prevented from using the women’s bathroom. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) New York Mayor Bill de Blasio issued an executive order giving men the right to use women's bathrooms and locker rooms, and vice versa. The mayor's edict is called, "Access to Single-Sex City Facilities Consistent With Gender Identity and Expression."  It means that all New York City single-gender facilities must accommodate both sexes, including city buildings and offices, parks, children's playgrounds, swimming pools, and more, all access given without showing identification or any proof of gender. Mayor de Blasio declared that transgenders using opposite sex bathrooms and locker rooms "is   a fundamental human right   that should not be restricted or denied to any individual."
