Sex education? No, we’re witnessing the pursuit of ignorance on matters of sexuality

A symbolic marriage cake in favor of allowing gay marriages in Italy not only to heterosexual couples but to lesbian and gay ones as well. Picture by Giovanni Dall'Orto, January 26 2008. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) If you can trace your family tree back far enough, you'll probably encounter people who had no formal education , owned no books, perhaps couldn't read and write . But your uneducated ancestors knew what "marriage" meant-- which is more than you can say for the typical Ivy League professor today. Your "benighted" ancestors would be both absolutely astonished that the literati of the early 21st century cannot figure out what was so obvious to them, centuries ago, and utterly appalled by the bogus unions that our contemporaries accept as marriages.  (By the way, I am not just thinking only of same-sex unions . I also have in mind the "open" marriages and the deliberately barren unions, the Hollywood -style serial marriages, th

Australia: Labor and Senator Wong are wrong: there is much to fear from “marriage equality”

Official 2005 photo of Chief Justice John G. Roberts (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) “Senator Wong was wrong in her declaration to the Labor national conference that ‘there is nothing to fear from equality’”, said Dr David van Gend, President of the Australian Marriage Forum. “There is always something to fear when the self-interest of the powerful crushes the rights of the weak, and that is what so-called “marriage equality” does. “ Marriage equality ” is a selfish adult-centred movement that tramples on the rights and needs of the child, and that is an abuse of power: · In the name of adult “equality” it destroys the rights of children to have both a mother and a father in their life - which is a profound injustice. · In the name of “equal love” between two men it destroys the more primal love between a mother and baby – and that is an unloving act. · In the name of “ anti-discrimination ” it discriminates against certain children who will be denied their biolog

Yale University sexual hostile post-modern environment

Image via Wikipedia For some time now, I’ve been telling you that the Christian worldview is the only worldview that provides us with a rational way to live in the world. It’s the only worldview that we can live with. We simply can’t live with the logical outcomes of other worldviews like secular naturalism, new age-ism, or Freudianism . And thanks to the daily news, I’m never short of material to prove it. A group of mostly female students is suing Yale University for allowing a “sexually hostile environment” to exist on campus. The women, of course, have a point. After all, when frat boys are allowed to parade around the old campus chanting “No Means Yes,” or to hold up signs that read “We Love Yale Sluts,” I guess you could say that’s a sexually hostile environment. But may I ask a question? What did you expect? The disgusting, intimidating behavior at Yale—and on many college campuses —is a classic example of the post-modern impasse. For nearly 50 years, academia, the fem

Arguments supporting Gays used to support incest

Image via Wikipedia There are certain questions now pressed upon us that previous generations would never believe could be asked. One of these is thrust upon us by events in New York City , where a well-known Ivy League professor has been arrested for the crime of incest . What makes the question urgent is not so much the arrest, but the controversy surrounding it. David Epstein is a professor of political science at Columbia University , where his wife also teaches. He previously taught on the faculties of Harvard and Stanford. Last week, he was arraigned before a judge in Manhattan , charged with a single count of felony incest. According to authorities, Professor Epstein was for several years involved in a sexual relationship with his adult daughter, now age 24. Though the story was ignored by much of the mainstream media, it quickly found its way into the cultural conversation.
