Folks around the world rightly recoiled in horror when it was revealed that the Muslim nation of Brunei would enact a Sharia-based law condemning gays to be stoned to death.     Major news outlets reporting on the story used the term “anti-gay” to describe the neanderthal measure. According to an article in  El Pais ,  Spain ’s largest newspaper, Pope Francis told a male sex abuse victim: “ God made you gay.” The comments were allegedly made during a meeting between Pope Francis and the victims of Chilean Catholic sex-offender priest Fernando Karadima . One of the men abused by the priest, former seminarian  Juan Carlos Cruz , described his meeting with Pope Francis. In the 1990s, I attended a gay wedding ceremony at a Catholic Church in San Francisco – performed by a Catholic priest . Friends and acquaintances had similar marriage "blessings" in San Francisco. As of a few years ago, when I spoke with another priest involved in these ceremonies, this practice continued. When I left the Castro in 1999, I thought my experiences with facilitating and lecherous priests were endemic to a relatively small section of the world ranging from the Castro to USF . Ten years later, when I started writing about the topic, I heard stories from Catholics (primarily mothers with "gay" sons) who lived in every part of the U.S. They told a similar tragic tale – how a concerned parent sent a confused kid to an officially sanctioned LGBT ministry in his diocese, and the boy later emerged as a gay rights advocate. On Saturday, the state legislature in Washington passed a bill banning gay conversion therapy for minors. In other words, if a young person, wants to get out of the sinful LGBT lifestlye they can't. If they want help -to leave LGBT ideology which many now are discovering it is filled with sinful ideology, unhealthy, unbalanced, sunbject to diseas like anal cancer....looking for help...they are satuck!  The bill will be passed to Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee for his signature. If the governor signs the bill as expected, the highly controversial therapy will be outlawed statewide . An Illinois legislator seeking to beat the pro-abortion Republican governor in his party’s primary released an ad highlighting his radical pro-abortion and pro-transgender beliefs, igniting fury from national media, leftists, and establishment Republicans. Gov. Bruce Rauner , a liberal Republican, signed a law in 2017  expanding forced taxpayer funding of abortion . Rauner supports transgender bathrooms, is squishy on LGBT issues, and supports liberal immigration policies. The Catholic Diocese of Jefferson City, Missouri , is opening a can of worms that  contradicts Church teaching  and sends the wrong message with its  proposed policy  encouraging enrollment of “ transgender ” students at its schools, one of its priests said.
