November 29, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A U.S. congresswoman is calling on Congress to denounce therapies designed to help clients overcome unwanted same-sex attraction . California Rep. Jackie Speier said her “ Stop Harming Our Kids ” resolution will “bring us some reality checks” about sexuality. Rep. A bill that was described as a deliberate “attack on parental rights ” by its sponsor has been signed into law in California . On Sunday, Governor Jerry Brown signed into law a bill banning sexual orientation change therapy for minors. It is set to go into effect on January 1, 2013.  In response, the pro-family law firm Liberty Counsel has said it is filing a lawsuit on behalf of counselors, parents and their minor children, and the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) against the legislation. In signing the bill, Gov.
