It all began when pastor Joshua Williamson of Newquay Baptist Church posted on social media that it was 'wonderful news' that a local Pride celebration had been canceled. Pink News, an online LGBT “news” outlet, has been frequently called out by none other than gay commentator Douglas Murray as a trashy hate rag primarily focused on grievance-peddling. All of that is true, but the most obvious attribute of those writing for the site is an utter lack of self-awareness. Members of the public in the United Kingdom are facing investigation by the police and criminal charges if they dare to challenge gender ideology on social media. The week before last, Harry Miller, 53, a plant and machinery dealer and married father of four, reported on Twitter that he had been contacted by Humberside Police at his workplace.  The police cited a series of 30 tweets which were deemed to be potentially “offensive.” Amongst them was a limerick written by a feminist which questioned whether transgender “women” can't be a biological woman. NDP politician Cheri DiNovo has sent an open letter to Ontario’s attorney general condemning a community-based police action during which the police arrested a convicted pedophile who was breaching a probation order to stay away from children. An ethics investigation has been launched against an Oregon judge who ordered his staff to recommend same-sex " marriage " requests to other judges, even though he isn't required to perform the ceremonies. On Thursday, Judge Vance Day’s spokesperson, Patrick Korten, confirmed that Day was being investigated by the Oregon Commission on Judicial Fitness because of his opposition to redefining marriage. While Day has never performed a same-sex "marriage" in his four years on the bench, it was only this past spring that he told his staff to recommend other judges to same-sex couples that request him to oversee "marriage" ceremonies. The Daily Record reported that the young man, River Song , whom the paper referred to as a “woman waiting for a sex-change ,” complained to police on Monday when a security guard at St. James shopping centre allegedly told him, “You are a male and always will be.” Describing the incident, Song said, “He pulled me aside and asked if I’d had a sex change. I couldn’t quite believe what I was hearing but I answered him, saying no. “He then asked me, ‘Why have you used the female bathrooms if you haven’t had a sex change?’ He asked for my ID, which I showed him.
