Roman Catholic Diocese of Kansas City-Saint Joseph (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) A former Catholic parish employee in Missouri is suing the Diocese of Kansas City -- St. Joseph two months after she was fired when the diocese learned she had "married" a female Lutheran minister. Colleen Simon says that a year after " marrying " Donna Simon in Iowa, she took the position as Director of Social Concerns for St. Francis Xavier . According to Simon, her relationship was not an issue for the former and current pastors of St. Francis. However, once Colleen and Donna were highlighted by a local publication, Bishop Robert Finn  became aware of her relationship  and told St. Francis' pastor to terminate her employment. In a public statement sent to LifeSiteNews, the diocese said that while it "has not seen the filing," it reserved "the right to live and operate according to our faith and Church teachings." Homosexuals today commonly claim that they cannot help being homosexual. Homosexuality, they argue, is innate: perhaps genetically determined, in any case inescapable. It is what they are. God made them that way. Therefore, they conclude, church and society should accept their homosexuality as natural and normal. Similar questions arise in other areas. Some years ago, it was learned that an abnormally high proportion of men with a “double y” ( XYY ) chromosome engage in anti-social or criminal behavior. Later came the discovery that a certain gene is associated with a relatively high percentage of alcoholics. And still more recently, Simon LeVay , a gay activist and neuroscientist, argued that there are some significant differences between the brains of exclusive homosexuals and those of presumed heterosexuals. Does this research imply that homosexuality is an innate condition rather than a choice? Can it not be helped, and therefore accepted as normal? I believe there were some f

English: Gender symbols, sexual orientation: heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality. Česky: (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Genetics is the domain of medical science . So let’s consider what science has found regarding homosexuality and genetics. First, science has found that sexuality and sexual orientation are some of the most complex aspects of people and the answers to simple questions like "What causes homosexuality?” are not simple. Some researchers have studied twins. The study by Bailey and Pillard , published in 1991, reported that when one twin is homosexual, the number of times the other twin is also homosexual occurs more often than the general rates of homosexuality in society . The media reported this as proof that homosexuality is genetic. But Bailey and Pillard themselves clearly stated that this study did not prove that homosexuality was solely caused by something genetic. Interestingly, this study also looked at the rest of the family and found that the rat
