APA researcher explodes myth: Gays aren’t ‘born that way’

Image
A top researcher with the American Psychological Association (APA) and lesbian activist has acknowledged that gays are not "born that way." Dr. Lisa Diamond, co-editor-in-chief of the APA Handbook of Sexuality and Psychology and one of the APA’s “most respected members," says sexual orientation is "fluid" and not unchangeable. As clinical psychologist Dr. Laura A. Haynes   summarizes   Diamond's APA Handbook chapters, her book and YouTube lectures, "The battle to disprove 'Born that way and can’t change’ is now over, and (Diamond) is telling LGBT activists to stop promoting the myth." Contrary to the typical argument that homosexuals are "born gay" as "who they are" and cannot change, the APA officially recognized sexual orientation change in 2011. Diamond summarized relevant findings in a lecture at Cornell University (2013), stating that abundant research has now established that sexual orientation —

LGBT researchers want: Democratic, sexually pluralist society.

Image
English: Gender symbols, sexual orientation: heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality. Česky: (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) This is how LGBT researchers word their agenda:  Apart from differences associated with parental gender, most of the presently observable differences in child "outcomes" should wither away under conditions of full equality and respect for sexual diversity . Indeed, it is time to recognize that the categories "lesbian mother" and " gay father " are historically transitional and conceptually flawed, because they erroneously imply that a parent's sexual orientation is the decisive characteristic of her or his parenting.  On the contrary, we propose that homophobia and discrimination are the chief reasons why parental sexual orientation matters at all. Because lesbigay parents do not enjoy the same rights, respect, and recognition as heterosexual parents, their children contend with the burdens of vicarious social stigma

North Carolina gov. sues Obama admin in response to threat over transgender restrooms

The governor of North Carolina has defied the Obama administration , asking a judge to dismiss all legal threats against his state for enacting a law that allows public accommodations to determine their own restroom policies. “The Obama administration is bypassing Congress by attempting to rewrite the law and set restroom policies for public and private employers across the country, not just North Carolina,” said Governor Pat McCrory , a Republican. “They are now telling every government agency and every company that employs more than 15 people that men should be allowed to use a women’s locker room, restroom or shower facility.” The new litigation comes the day that the Justice Department set as a deadline for state officials to back down and tell the Obama administration “that the state will not comply with or implement H.B. 2,” the Public Facilities Privacy and Security Act. After the city of Charlotte passed an ordinance requiring all public businesses to allow transge

Australia: Safe schools: the real school yard bullies

Image
It's a sorry state of affairs when a vocal minority starts to dictate to even members of that very minority what they can and cannot think. Sadly, that's exactly the place we have now reached in Australia around matters of gender and sexuality. The current discussion about the so-called 'safe schools' program has been laughable with advocates of the program showing a complete lack of 'tolerance' and full aggression to anyone who doesn't share their bizarre world view . Australia: Victoria Premier promotes homosexual indoctrination in primary schools

ACL Victorian Director Dan Flynn said Premier Daniel Andrews and Education Minister and Deputy Premier James Merlino were ignoring the concerns of parents and potentially setting kids off on harmful pathways by forcing all high school children to be taught radical gender theory. “Telling concerned parents they are bigots and homophobes if they have concerns about Safe Schools is arrogant in the extreme and completely disrespects parents’ prime responsibility for the education and well-being of their children.” Mr Flynn said Mr Andrews should heed the advice of more moderate voices in the ALP such as Federal Labor Shadow Minister , Anthony Albanese , who on ABC’s Lateline said it was acceptable to implement ‘sensible changes’. “The Safe Schools content is so extreme one

The dark relationship between gay ‘marriage’ and surrogacy: even gay activists are worried

Just days before Irish citizens voted in favor of same-sex marriage in May, a headline in the Independent warned: “surrogacy fears could sink ‘ Yes ’ campaign.” During the final weeks leading up to the referendum, government leaders and advocates of the “yes” vote to redefine marriage tried to distance themselves from the issue of surrogacy for fear that the two issues might be conflated. Such behavior offers a telling though little discussed insight that’s particularly applicable for our own nation, especially now that the Supreme Court has ruled that there is a constitutional right to same-sex marriage: A growing number of LGBT activists actively oppose surrogacy, even though gay men are the primary users of the practice. Surrogacy is not legal in Ireland, though some commentators believe that the acceptance of same-sex marriage will lead to its inevitable acceptance. In an interview leading up to the vote in Ireland, Justice Kevin Cross, the head of the Referendum Commission ,

When they come to destroy your business because you are pro-traditional family

English: Porlock Hardware, High Street, Porlock A traditional family run hardware shop. A hardware business has been run from these premises since 1935. http://www.porlock.co.uk/members/index.php?id=00114 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) When they come to destroy your business because you are pro- traditional family I’ve been thinking about how homosexualists target Christian businesses for destruction.  Approach a florist or a bakery or, now, a pizzeria and tell the owner that this is for a homosexual “wedding” and then hammer them with law suits . Enough already.  It’s time for everyone to calm down. We need a new approach. Think about this. When some homosexual couple comes to your Christian business for services at their immoral event, don’t panic.  Go ahead and take their business! Then explain what is going to happen next. Tell them that the food and services will be just fine.  And then inform them that all of the money that they pay for the services will be dona

Are homosexuality and homosexual marriage moral issues?

The AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power, a group against AIDS, protests in New York City against the Anti-Homosexuality Bill in Uganda. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Some people who approve of homosexuality as a legitimate lifestyle have said that homosexuality and homosexual  marriage  are not  moral  issues.  Often, this is stated in an attempt to distance themselves from ethics and focus on the social and political agenda to promote homosexuality.  Still, is homosexuality and homosexual marriage a moral issue?  Yes, it is. Morality deals with person-to-person relationships and what ought and ought not to be done within them.  The Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy defines morality: "descriptively to refer to some codes of conduct put forward by a society or, some other group, such as a religion, or accepted by an individual for her own behavior or normatively to refer to a code of conduct that, given specified conditions, would be put forward by all rational persons.&q
