Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, and Elizabeth Warren. The event will

The indiscriminate weaponization of the term ‘anti-gay’

Folks around the world rightly recoiled in horror when it was revealed that the Muslim nation of Brunei would enact a Sharia-based law condemning gays to be stoned to death.     Major news outlets reporting on the story used the term “anti-gay” to describe the neanderthal measure. Here are some of the headlines from the last few days: CNN:  Brunei's new anti-gay law goes into effect this week. Here's how the world is reacting BBC:  Brunei implements stoning to death under anti-LGBT laws AP:  Germany protests to Brunei envoy over anti-gay law plans The Guardian:  UN joins Clooney in decrying 'inhuman' Brunei anti-gay law USA Today:  Ellen DeGeneres, other celebs boycott Brunei-owned hotels as a law against gay sex goes into effect Los Angeles Times:  L.A. city leaders call for a boycott of 2 hotels over Brunei’s anti-gay laws “Anti-gay,” however, is the same term that mainstream media, progressives politicians, and other high-profile liberal

People must ‘resist all attempts to normalize homosexual behavior’: Filipino bishops

Image
The Philippines ’ Catholic bishops conference has called on the faithful and especially political leaders to oppose same-sex unions in the wake of LGBT agitation sparked by the U.S. Supreme Court ruling legalizing same-sex “ marriage ” in the U.S. “ Catholics are called to resist all attempts to normalize homosexual behavior and homosexual unions in their culture,” declared the August 28 letter, titled “A Pastoral Response to the Acceptance of Homosexual Lifestyle and the Legalization of Homosexual Unions.” The letter called on Catholic politicians especially “to oppose the legal recognition of homosexual unions in a particularly vigorous way.” The bishops were careful to urge Catholics “to be charitable to every single homosexual person they know,” but especially those in their own family, thereby emphasizing the superiority of Christian love over the transitoriness of sexual affection. “In particular, families with members who struggle with homosexuality are called

Walker, Jindal back Kentucky clerk on marriage licenses: ‘The Constitution is very clear’

Image
English: Scott Walker on February 18, 2011 (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Two more GOP presidential candidates have chimed in on the issue of whether Rowan County clerk Kim Davis must provide marriage licenses for same-sex couples. While three candidates   have publicly supported Davis' right to only provide marriage licenses for man-woman couples,   three others   have said she must do so or resign. This morning, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker   told Laura Ingraham , "In the end, this is the balance that you gotta have to have in America, between the laws that are out there, but ultimately ensuring that the Constitution is upheld. I read that the Constitution is very clear that people have freedom of religion -- you have the freedom to practice religious beliefs out there, it's a fundamental right ." Walker also said that he believes the Supreme Court erred in redefining marriage. That decision has led to Davis' circumstances, which include being in cou

Princeton rescinds employment offer to researcher who faked pro-homosexual study

photograph of the justices, cropped to show Justice Scalia (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Princeton University has retracted  its offer to hire Michael LaCour, the UCLA grad student behind a fake study purporting to show data favorable to homosexual activists. The study, conducted by LaCour and Columbia University professor Donald Green and published in the magazine Science last December, claimed that activists could swing people to support same-sex “marriage” in the span of 20 minutes by one personal conversation. Further, the study alleged, the results of these conversations would not only last for a year, but also spread to members of the converts' households. Green repudiated the study in late May of this year after other researchers failed to reproduce its conclusions. Science officially retracted the study on May 28. After the retraction, LaCour released a 23-page-long statement in which he apologized for "errors in design, implementation, and data collection"

Gay agenda front and center as Hillary Clinton announces presidential campaign

Image
WASHINGTON, D.C. , April 15, 2015 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) -- Hillary Clinton has released a  video  announcing her candidacy for U.S. president in which she compares her personal political ambition to big events in the lives of everyday Americans .  The video, called “Getting Started,” shows people getting ready to take on new challenges, from new spring gardens to new business opportunities to new parenthood.   Most of the scenarios featured are fairly universal – a mom moving house in search of a better school district for her child, a couple expecting their first baby, a woman getting ready to retire, a child preparing for his role in the school play.  But one common “life event” celebrated in the two-minute ad – marriage – seems calculated to appeal directly to a narrow but powerful constituency, the homosexual lobby, as the only engaged couple featured is a pair of gay men.  “I’m getting married this summer to someone I really care about,” says a man’s voice, as two men wal

After backlash for calling homosexuality a ‘choice,’ Ben Carson trumpets his support for gay civil unions

Image
March 5, 2015 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) -- Prospective Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson is backtracking after he faced strong criticism for saying homosexuality is “absolutely” a choice, and claiming this is proved by the fact that many inmates come out of prison as homosexuals . But his apology is earning him a new set of critics because, though he affirmed his belief in traditional marriage , he also trumpeted his support for homosexual civil unions and defended the right of states to create same-sex “marriage.” "I do not pretend to know how every individual came to their sexual orientation ,” Carson wrote Wednesday in the apology on his Facebook page . "I regret that my words to express that concept were hurtful and divisive. For that I apologize unreservedly to all that were offended." “Up until this point there have been no definitive studies that people are born into a specific sexuality,” Carson wrote. “We do know, however, that we are always born

Lesbian expelled from Christian university after ‘marrying’ her same-sex partner

Image
English: Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) A senior at Oklahoma’s Southwestern Christian University has been expelled after publicizing her same-sex “marriage” on social media, in violation of the university’s “lifestyle covenant.” The covenant, which all students sign upon enrollment, forbids homosexual relationships , sex outside of marriage, and other behaviors the university’s International Pentecostal Holiness denomination considers immoral. Christian Minard, 22, and her girlfriend, Kadyn Park, traveled from their home state of Oklahoma to New Mexico in order to get “married” in March. Same-sex “marriage” is illegal in Oklahoma, so their marriage is not considered valid in their own state. The pair had been dating for more than three years, but university officials were unaware of the relationship until the couple posted photos of their “wedding” – in which Minard played the role of the “groom,” sporting men’s attire and a close-cr

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) HOLLYWOOD, February 24, 2014 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Stephen Colbert's parody performances usually leave liberals laughing and conservatives feeling the sting. But a segment the comedian did on  Facebook's decision to introduce more than 50 “gender” options  has LGBT activists seeing red. “The whole thing makes my brain broke,” he told his Comedy Central audience before reading many of the dozens of options to significant laughter. He singled out the term trans-asterisk – written “Trans *" – a term intended to convey that the person identifies with  every gender status . “I believe that's when you're born an asterisk but deep inside you believe you're an am
