Evidence piles in against - homosexual marriage

Image
Evidence is beginning to filter through that detail the consequences of legislating for homosexual “marriage” across nations and states. In an important submission to the UK House of Commons public bill committee on the   Marriage (Same-Sex Couples) Bill 2012-13,   researcher Patricia Morgan reviewed data from countries that had, to the time of publication on March 1, 2013, redefined marriage in their countries. [2] The focus of her paper is to evaluate the claims “that opening up marriage to same-sex couples will actually strengthen the institution... (and) that same-sex marriage will thus serve the common good as well as promoting equality”. [3] Contrary to current propaganda, the findings depict a very negative picture. For example, contrary to the mantra that homosexual “marriage” does not affect your marriage, she finds that “opposite-sex relationships have to conform to gay norms, rather than vice versa, since matters pertaining to complementary sexes cannot apply to

SALT LAKE CITY, UT , April 17, 2015 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) -- The Girl Scouts are  once again  kicking up controversy with their “progressive” approach to sexuality, this time by starting a brand new troop aimed at gay and lesbian families and boys who consider themselves “transgender” – in other words, boys who believe they are girls trapped in biologically male bodies. "As long as a youth identifies as a girl or with girls, even if they are genderfluid on the day that they registered, then they can become a Girl Scout," said Shari Solomon-Klebba, the Utah Girl Scout outreach coordinator responsible for Salt Lake City’s first sexuality-based troop, in an interview with KUTV . The troop had its first meeting on Monday at the homosexual “ Utah Pride Center ” in socially conservative Salt Lake City – home of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (more frequently referred to as Mormonism), which has repeatedly clashed with gay activists over its traditional

A former military chaplain who was discharged for publicly praying in uniform has won election to the Colorado General Assembly , despite several alleged death threats from homosexual activists. Gordon Klingenschmitt, Ph.D., was elected on Tuesday with 70 percent of the vote. However, the victory was marred by  three death threats  the controversial opponent of same-sex "marriage" says were received in the last two months.   According to Klingenschmitt, the threats came in September and October, after he publicly called for religious liberty for Christian business owners when it came to same-sex "marriage" ceremonies. One of the two emails received by the then-candidate referenced shooting Christians in the head, while a voice message told Klingenschmitt that the caller "will slit your [expletive expletive] throat." In his report to the FBI , the former Navy chaplain said that he wanted to press charges if the people making the threats could b

AUGUSTA, ME , February 3, 2014 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Five years ago, the administration at a Maine school told transgendered fifth-grader ‘Nicole’ Maines that he had to stop using the girls' bathroom at school and instead use a staff bathroom. But last week, the state's highest court said the administration had violated the state's law preventing gender-based and sexual identity discrimination. On Thursday, the Maine Supreme Judicial Court   ruled  5-1 on the lawsuit brought by Maines' family and the Maine Human Rights Commission, saying that the school violated the state’s Human Rights Act. The lawsuit was filed in 2009. 'Nicole' Maines Jennifer Levi, director of the Gay & Lesbian Advocates & Defenders ' Transgender Rights Project, which is based in Boston,  told   NBC News  it is the first ruling of its kind from a state’s high court. The activist called it “a momentous decision that marks a huge breakthrough for transgender young pe

Colorado College lists five genders, including ‘queer,’ on applications

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO , November 8, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Colleges often boast that they offer students more choices. Colorado College , located in Colorado Springs, lists five separate options for gender on its job applications and numerous other documents. The listed categories are male, female, transgender, decline to answer, or “queer.” Ironically, the term – intended to be a positive and affirming choice for the LGBT community – was discovered by a gay job-seeker. "I couldn't believe it. I thought I was going to have a stroke," John Kichi of Pennsylvania  told  the  Denver Post . "If them including it on applications isn't against the law, it should be." Denver Fox station  KDVR  reported that Kichi has filed a complaint with Colorado Attorney General John Suthers . The school has protested that the term “queer” is now embraced as its own separate gender identity . Colorado College’s office of Minority and International Students

COLORADO SPRINGS, October 22, 2012, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Ted Haggard , the megachurch leader whose dalliances with a male prostitute toppled him from his church in 2006, has now endorsed same-sex “ marriage .” “I don’t think the state has any role dictating or mandating” morality, he said. “Though we would oppose that in our churches, [ same-sex weddings ] should be allowed by the state.”  Ted Haggard Haggard, who founded the 14,000-member New Life Church in Colorado Springs , served as  president  of the  National Association of Evangelicals (NAE)  until he admitted that he paid male prostitute Mike Jones for sex, used crystal meth, and viewed pornography featuring men and women in 2006.  Haggard made his statement last Monday in a  debate  with Benjamin Hecht, an Orthodox Jewish rabbi who opposes redefining marriage. Hecht said the commandments of God also give “insights into the social order” and identify the nuclear family as “the building block of society.”  L
