10,000 march for true marriage in New York – more events planned

New York, NY , July 26, 2011 – This past Sunday, an estimated nearly 10,000 people participated in a New York City rally and march in support of the traditional definition of marriage.  The rally, which was organized by the National Organization for Marriage (NOM), took place on the same day as the first homosexual “marriages” were legally performed in New York State. More than 200 people also attended a NOM rally organized in Buffalo , New York on Sunday. In addition to New York City and Buffalo, NOM held rallies in Albany, Rochester, and Syracuse. “The crowds of supporters were just amazing,” said Brian Brown, NOM’s president. “The crowd in Manhattan was so large the New York Police Department asked us to begin our march early so that we could relieve overcrowding at the gathering site.” The New York City march began in front of Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo ’s New York City offices on Park Avenue and then proceeded to the United Nations . Senator Ruben Diaz faithfully stands against Gay agenda

Ruben Diaz Sr. held a massive rally Sunday outside Bronx Supreme Court against gay marriage   Ruben Diaz, a Pentecostal minister, marched down the Grand Concourse to the courthouse with a throng of supporters who waved signs in support of "traditional" marriage between a man and a woman. "We support traditional marriage between one man and one woman," one banner read. Others warned: " God 's Marriage = 1 man & 1 woman" and " Gay Marriage Is Against the Word of God." Two years ago, the state Senate defeated a same-sex marriage bill by a wide margin. But Gov. Cuomo has said he will push to pass the legislation, reigniting the debate. Ruben Diaz insisted the issue has nothing to do with respect. "To the whole group that is up there, we all respect you and we love you," he told the opposing protest. Milagra Cortes, 54, of Parkchester , the Bronx, said she believes "marriage should be between
