SALE LAKE CITY, January 14, 2014 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – In a time when public figures from reality TV stars and fast food franchise presidents are increasingly facing backlash for casual comments about homosexuality, a new policy from the Mormon Church defends traditional marriage and the institution of the family without apology – and “insists” on its right to be heard in the public square. “Changes in the civil law do not, indeed cannot, change the moral law that God has established,” the statement, issued by church leadership on Friday, says. “God expects us to uphold and keep His commandments regardless of divergent opinions or trends in society.” The Mormon temple in Salt Lake City The statement was released just days after U.S. District Judge Robert J. SALT LAKE CITY, Utah , August 27, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - A Salt Lake City TV station which is owned by the Mormon Church has decided against airing “The New Normal,” NBC ’s new homosexual-themed sitcom. A statement from  KSL-TV ‘s parent company, Bonneville International , cited offensive characterizations, crude dialogue and explicit content as the underlying reasons for rejecting the TV show . The show is produced and directed by openly homosexual Ryan Murphy, who also produced “The Playboy Club ,” “ American Horror Story ,” “Glee,” and “Nip/Tuck.” “After viewing the pilot episode of ‘The New Normal,’ we have made the decision to keep it off our fall schedule,”  said  Jeff Simpson, CEO of Bonneville International, according to Deseret News. “For our brand, this program simply feels inappropriate on several dimensions, especially during family viewing time.” Last year KSL-TV rejected NBC’s, “The Playboy Club,” about the original Playboy Club in Chicago in 1961.

To same-sex attracted boys - wait

June 12, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - While your friends seem obsessed with girls, you are experiencing feelings of attraction to guys. You find yourself fantasizing about being close – really close – to a teacher or macho guy in your school. You long for something more, but it isn’t a girl. The culture—teachers in your school, the Gay Straight Alliance —is telling you that all this is a sign you were born gay. You might as well accept it and “ come out ” because there is nothing you can do to change it. That’s how God made you. But before you act on this advice, take time to look at the facts. You may have heard the claim that science has found a “gay gene.” This is not true. In spite of a lot of looking, no scientist has found anything resembling a gay gene. The head of the human genome project says they have looked and it isn’t there.1 Other studies offer conclusive evidence that people are not “born” that way. If same-sex attraction were genetic or caused by some other pre

Image via Wikipedia When  Will & Grace  debuted in 1998, few could have imagined that scarcely a decade later, same-sex marriage would be regarded by many Americans as a constitutional right. Catholic Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York was no alarmist when he worried aloud that the next step in the marriage debate would be another redefinition to allow polygamy and infidelity. How did we get to this point? It began with making what was once marginalized and tolerated seem normal and mainstream by calling into question the very idea of norms. Pop culture excels at perpetuating this kind of relativism: gay characters were depicted as interchangeable with, if not superior to, their heterosexual counterparts. The message was clear: Only a bigot would make a fuss over homosexual behavior. This approach, while effective, was too slow for some activists. That led to the second part of the "how": the legal strategy. This strategy built on the foundation laid by abortion-right
