HARRISBURG, PA , July 25, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – A spokesman for Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett has responded to the controversy over a rogue county registrar issuing illegal same-sex “marriage” licenses to homosexuals, saying, “Individual elected officials cannot pick and choose which laws to enforce.” Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett Pennsylvania law defines marriage as a civil contract between a man and a woman, explicitly prohibiting the recognition of gay unions, even those formed in states where the practice is legal. But on Wednesday, Montgomery County Register of Wills D. Bruce Hanes began issuing marriage certificates to same-sex couples anyway, saying he wanted to be “on the right side of history and the law.” Hanes told  NBC Philadelphia  that the Supreme Court’s June decision to overturn part of the Defense of Marriage Act prompted him to act. “I think the constitution trumps the [state marriage] statute,” Hanes told NBC . “This to me is a fundamen

Traditional marriage supporters in short supply at Supreme Court as critical decisions drop

A favorite saying of supporters of same-sex “marriage” is “We’re on the right side of history.”  But years from now, when future generations look back at Wednesday’s Supreme Court ruling in favor of redefining marriage to include homosexual couples, they may wonder whether there was ever any other side at all.  Photographs in history books will show hundreds of people crowded outside the entrance to the Court on Wednesday morning – all bedecked in rainbows, equal signs, and pink. The images are public relations gold for homosexual activists.  Unlike the infamous homosexual “ pride parades ,” where licentiousness, decadence and sexually explicit displays are the norm, the scene in front of the court today was decidedly family-oriented, albeit not always in the traditional sense.  Gay 'marriage' supporters rally outside the Supreme Court today. Same-sex couples held hands and pushed strollers.  One baby, asleep in an infant carrier , sported a pinned-on sign that rea

New Zealand’s rushed immoral homosexual marriage with 78% against?

English: David Cameron is a British politician, Leader of the Conservative Party (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Wednesday night (April 17) 77 people  changed the institution of marriage  in New Zealand from a conjugal union with the potential for generating children and providing them with the nurture of their own mother and father into “a union of 2 people regardless of their sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity” with the potential for systematically depriving children of their mother or father, or both. All in the name of “love”. Starting in August. Actually, just 17 people managed to do that, because the New Zealand Parliament currently has 121 members and if 17 of the 77 who finally voted for the “definition of marriage” bill had voted against it and with the 44 who opposed the move, this South Sea revolution could have been put down and time taken to properly discuss the whole idea. The notion put about by MPs and journalists that there has been a “fierce debate” on

True-marriage advocates have long maintained that Canada’s 2005 redefinition of marriage to include homosexual couples would pave the way for any kind of sexual union to be legally called marriage, including polygamy. Chief Justice Robert Bauman But Chief Justice Robert Bauman criticized this view for “miss[ing] the whole point.” “Committed same-sex relationships celebrate all of the values we seek to preserve and advance in monogamous marriage ,” he said, adding that the “doctrinal underpinnings of monogamous same-sex marriage are indistinguishable from those o
