Homosexuality is crime against humanity

Image
"Marriage of persons of the same sex is a serious crime against humanity," Victor Tonye Bakot, told followers on Tuesday, Reuters reported. "We need to stand up to combat it with all our energy. I am particularly thankful to our local media that has been spreading this message of it as a criminality against mankind." Gay activities in Cameroon are considered illegal, punishable by fines and prison, with the nation's Catholic Church strongly opposed to gay marriage. Like many other countries around the world, however, younger people are more willing to support a change in attitudes towards gay people, Reuters noted. At least 12 people have been convicted of homosexuality in Cameroon this year, the most recent case concerning 32-year-old Jean-Claude Roger Mbede , who was handed a three-year prison sentence for sending another man a text saying he loves him. Catholics make up nearly 40 percent of the Cameroon population, with Protestants counting up to 26 perc

NEW YORK , February 25, 2013, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - News giant Thomson Reuters has waded into the arena of culture wars with an announcement on February 20 that it is throwing its support behind the same-sex "marriage" bill currently before the British Parliament . "Thomson Reuters applauds the latest passage of the Bill and encourages its completion through the legislative process," said the U.S.-based Thomson Reuters in a  blog  post. By voicing our endorsement of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill, we continue to demonstrate our active support for equal opportunities for all our staff and all government legislation that promotes equality." Reuters justifies its endorsement of homosexual "marriage" in the UK on the grounds that many of its affiliated organizations had supported the British drive to redefine marriage and the family, as well. "Many leading companies – many of whom are our global clients – take active positions i

ACLU sues to force elementary libraries to display lesbian advocacy book

Image
FARMINGTON, UT , November 15, 2012, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The ACLU has  filed a lawsuit  to force a Utah school district to keep a lesbian advocacy book on elementary school library shelves. The ACLU believes kindergarten-age children deserve access to this book. In the Davis School District in Utah, children as young as kindergarten age can check out a homosexual propaganda book called  In My Mothers’ House , about three adopted kids and their lesbian “mothers,” if their parents sign a permission slip. The book was removed from shelves after another Windridge mother complained to school officials when her kindergartner brought it home. It is presently kept behind the counter. This minor obstacle motivated the ACLU to seeking to force the school district to put the book back on its library shelves, making it available to all children without restriction. The only person participating in the “class action” lawsuit is Tina Weber, whose children are enrolled at Windri

How can a News service endorse homosexual marriage and remain unbiased?

Image via CrunchBase EAGAN, Minnesota , July 17, 2012, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – One of the world’s leading news agencies, Thomson Reuters , has endorsed same-sex “marriage,” but insists its corporate-wide political stance will not taint its news coverage of the subject. Thomson Reuters, a merger of the Thomson Corporation and the Reuters Group – which includes Reuters News – publicly announced its opposition to a constitutional amendment in Minnesota banning the redefinition of marriage . “We believe the Minnesota Marriage Amendment, if passed, would limit our ability to recruit and retain top talent,”  said  an e-mail from company officials Mike Suchsland and Rick King. “For this reason, we do not believe that the Amendment would be good for Thomson Reuters or the business community in the state.” But this will not color its presentation of the issue or those who oppose it, they state. The company insists,“as a news organization, Thomson Reuters is dedicated to upholding

A twist in Study: gay teens five times more likely to attempt suicide

Teens who self-identify as homosexual are five times more likely than their heterosexual counterparts to attempt suicide, according to a study released last week. The study, published in the journal Pediatrics online on April 18, was conducted in order to determine whether living in a gay friendly social environment affected the risk of a teen identifying as homosexual committing suicide . It found that teens in “unsupportive” social environments were 20 percent more at risk of attempting suicide than those in “supportive” environments. “This study documents an association between an objective measure of the social environment and suicide attempts among lesbian, gay, and bisexual youth,” concludes the study abstract, adding that the results “have important implications for the development of policies and interventions to reduce sexual orientation–related disparities in suicide attempts.” But Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council pointed out that the takeaway finding from
