Feminist writer Meghan Murphy sued Twitter on Monday for deceptive trade practices and breach of contract. Twitter banned Murphy in November over tweets about transgender issues. “Twitter is quite literally enforcing a 1984-style version of newspeak, wherein we may not speak or name material reality,” Murphy told TheDCNF. In the 1990s, I attended a gay wedding ceremony at a Catholic Church in San Francisco – performed by a Catholic priest . Friends and acquaintances had similar marriage "blessings" in San Francisco. As of a few years ago, when I spoke with another priest involved in these ceremonies, this practice continued. Mark Dice, famous for YouTube video interviews with random passers-by in public spaces, says that his Twitter account was suspended Thursday of last week after he implied that transgenderism is a mental illness. A Facebook group wanting to “burn...alive” a U.S. Christian pro-family activist who takes bold stances against feminism, political correctness , and the LGBT lobby "doesn't go against...Community Standards,” according to Facebook . If liberal California legislators have their way, calling a transgender man “he” could result in a $1,000 fine and a year in prison. The “ Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Long-Term Care Facility Resident’s Bill of Rights ,” or Senate Bill 219 , will criminalize referring to a transgender nursing home resident by his/her actual gender. The proposed law, which passed the California senate, states , “It shall be unlawful for a long-term care facility or facility staff to … willfully and repeatedly fail to use a resident’s preferred (transgender) name or (opposite sex) pronouns after being clearly informed of the preferred name or pronouns.” The bill also requires nursing homes — whether Christian-owned or not — to accommodate transgender bathrooms and showers. Penalties are capped at $1,000 and a year in prison.
