Leaders in El Salvador launched a website on “Obama’s Corrupting Foreign Policy” and are asking the U.S. Senate to reject Obama’s nominee for ambassador to their country. President Obama announced in December that the promotion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender ( LGBT ) behavior is a top foreign policy priority, even for the U.S. military overseas.  At the same time, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave a high-profile speech at the UN equating LGBT status with religion. The Associated Press acknowledged that nomination of Marie Carmen Aponte failed in large part because of her open support for the homosexual agenda in El Salvador, which sparked a protest to the U.S. Senate on the part of El Salvadoran civil organizations. As the U.S. Ambassador to El Salvador , Aponte has taken it upon herself to school an overwhelmingly Christian nation about the "virtues" of homosexuality. In a controversial op-ed, she lectured the Salvadorians about the need to embrace homosexuality. She also implied that the country's disapproval of the aberrant behavior was somehow rooted in ignorance. Image via Wikipedia Pro-family groups in El Salvador have mounted an organized protest against the current United States ambassador to the country, after she published a controversial article in a local newspaper denouncing “homophobia,” which she says is “based on the lack of understanding of what it really means to be homosexual or transgender.” Mari Carmen Aponte , who was temporarily appointed by U.S. President Barack Obama in 2010 during a congressional recess, also lauded the Obama administration’s international activism against “discrimination” against homosexuals and cited Secretary of State Hillary Clinton ’s claim that “Gay rights are Human Rights .” But Aponte’s  article , which was published on June 28 in the La Prensa Grafica newspaper, has been met with outrage by numerous human rights and pro-family organizations in El Salvador, who accuse her of violating international law and seeking to impose the U.S.‘s homosexual political agenda on the country. “Mrs. Aponte, i
