The Church of England - no longer believe the Bible or in God

Image
The General Synod of the Church of England met to discuss the acceptability of same-sex sin, a huge rainbow appeared over Church House, Westminster . The bishops had produced a report. The report called for a “change of tone” towards LGBTI people. The bishops refused to budge on the question of same-sex couples getting married in church. And so the immoral secular clergy of the C of E threw the report out , leaving the bishops stunned in that they now realize that the clergy are no longer Christian nor do they support the scripture. CLERGY IGNORE SCRIPTURE- DISREGARD THE SIN OF HOMOSEXUALITY Recalling the story of Jacob wrestling with the angel in the book of Genesis , Canon Simon Butler – gay, out and partnered – told synod:  “I will not let go until you bless me.  Those of us wrestling for equal marriage will not stop until gay people are offered the church’s blessing. We bless battleships with missiles. But not the love between two people. And the problem here is not the

It's time for the Church of England to lay down Biblical law on marriage

Wednesday’s vote in Synod was not a victory for the LGBT lobby. In whatever way that vote in synod is spun, the real issue is not about same-sex marriage but about the authority of the Bible in the Church of England . The effect of the vote is that there is no change in doctrine or practice. Marriage remains, as it has for all Christendom, a lifelong union between a man and a woman. This moment presents a great opportunity for the House of Bishops to embrace that truth and to act to uphold it firmly within the Church, disciplining those who would seek to abandon the authority of the Bible, and whose actions will eventually bring down the Church by actively denying that truth. The Bishops’ Report on Marriage and Same Sex Relationships was in danger of weakening the Church’s teaching. It sought to hold together two positions that are irreconcilable – the orthodox position holding to the teaching of Jesus Christ , and the alternative which seeks to revise his teaching by insisting

Church of England: sinful orientation of episcopal nominees is ‘irrelevant’

At the same time as it faces legislation that some say will likely force them to participate in gay “marriage,” the Church of England issued  a legal document last week illustrating the fine lines that must be walked by those responsible for appointing new bishops. To be admitted to Holy Orders , the document says, a person must be “of virtuous conversation and good repute and such as to be a wholesome example and pattern to the flock of Christ.” It adds, “ Bishops are seen within the Anglican Communion as those who have the responsibility ‘to guard the faith, unity and discipline of the whole Church’.” Nevertheless, the document warns those on appointment committees that a clergyman’s “sexual orientation” is officially “irrelevant to their suitability for episcopal office,” and that it may not be taken into account when considering nominations for bishops. The ordination of openly homosexual Gene Robinson in the United States precipitated a crisis in the Global Anglica

Church 'may have to offer gay weddings' if Cameron's plans given go-ahead

Image
Image via Wikipedia Will this happen in Australia ? Will this happen in Queensland under Andrew Fraser and his self imposed gay union legislation ?  Same-sex couples will be able to have church weddings if David Cameron goes ahead with plans to allow gay marriage , the Church of England indicated yesterday.  Its lawyers said that weddings will have to be offered to same-sex couples under any scheme to open the full privileges and title of marriage to gays and lesbians. A spokesman for Christian Evangelical Coalition rejects outright any such acess would be permitted or allowed regardless of any Government legislation. The Cof E lost the plot many years ago, they are not subject to scripture or God but to the government of the day. They suggested that if same-sex couples could marry the Church would no longer be sheltered from equality laws that forbid it from discriminating against homosexuals . The admission was made by officials in a paper on the impact of new civil partnersh
