Say NO to 9th Circuit radical judges rule Prop 8 unconstitutional?
Image via Wikipedia Did you hear the news that the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled California's marriage-protection amendment (also known as Prop. 8 ) unconstitutional this week? I'm sure you were no more surprised than I was, considering the 9th Circuit is infamous for socially liberal rulings. But this isn't about a track record or academic arguments—this is about a court deciding that marriage as the union of a man and a woman is unimportant for the next generation, for the children who may intentionally be motherless or fatherless as a result. Here at Focus on the Family , we are dedicated to marriage—and that includes working to protect the definition of marriage, as when nearly 7 million California voters approved Prop. 8 at the ballot box in 2008, as well as helping individual couples build and strengthen their marriages . We know the importance of this work because we understand that our country, and our culture, is only as great as its families.
