Australian Labor Party - Criminalising Gay Conversion Therapy

Image
The Australian Labor Party controlled by LGBT politicians considered a policy proposal to criminalize ex-gay conversion therapy. The party had originally had, in its draft platform, a policy that "opposes the practice of conversion and reparative therapies on diverse sexuality and genders and seeks to criminalize these practices". The policy was welcomed by LGBTI zealots but was a cause for concern for the Australian Christian Lobby, which said the policy would result in Christian parents having their children taken away if they seek counseling for them if their child says they are same-sex attracted. "To group religious beliefs, prayer or voluntary counseling in the same category as coercion, electric shock therapy, and bizarre boot camps is dishonest. It smuggles a chilling non-existant ideological agenda into the conversion therapy issue," Australian Christian Lobby managing director Martyn Iles said in a blog post . Labor senator Louise Pratt, a spokespers

Sydney mayor vows to make all gay weddings FREE -another politician another gimmic

Image
A Sydney mayor has vowed to make all gay weddings free if same-sex marriage is legalised by the upcoming vote. Labor's Darcy Byrne, who has just been appointed leader of Inner West Council , wants to give same-sex couples the opportunity to use public halls and community centres to house their nuptials for the first 100 days after the unions are legalised. The inner-west has one of the largest LGBTQI communities in Australia and Byrne is hoping the move will lead the charge for civil rights.  But others have responded negatively :  "When will politicians learn that changing traditional marriage is not about scoring points in popularity, offering free incentives to lead the way? Will the council also provide free facilities for normal heterosexual marriages, or is this reverse discrimination and a gimmick? Will facilities be offered free for Religious organization for 100 days?"

Homosexual Activist Admits True Purpose of Battle is to Destroy Marriage

Image
Even knowing that there are radicals in all movements, doesn’t  lessen the startling admission recently by lesbian journalist  Masha Gessen .  On a radio show she actually admits that homosexual activists are lying about their radical political agenda .   She says that they don’t want to access the institution of marriage; they want to radically redefine and eventually eliminate it.  Here is what she recently said on a radio interview:  “It’s a no-brainer that (homosexual activists) should have the right to marry, but I also think equally that it’s a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist. …(F)ighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we are going to do with marriage when we get there — because we lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change, and that is a lie.  The institution of marriage is going to change, and it should change. And again, I don’t think it should exist. And I don’t like taking part in creating fic

Some in-depth reading on same-sex marriage issues

Image
An academic colleague suggested the other day that it would be good to post some recommendations for academic commentary on the same-sex marriage issues, for those who are interested in reading that goes a bit more in-depth than a standard blog post or opinion piece. I thought this was a great idea. I have compiled the following list of reading from recommendations of legal colleagues who, like me, have serious concerns about the proposal to introduce same-sex marriage. In that sense it is not a 'balanced' list. Those who want to find enthusiastic academic support for introducing the reform will not find it hard to do so elsewhere. But some of these pieces may not be so widely read, and deserve to be better known. Some are quite recent. Of course (pardon me for saying so) you will find other material on some of these issues here on this blog, and elsewhere. But these pieces are worth the extra time it will take to read them. (Unfortunately some are not freely availab

This is the ugly future with homosexual radicals

Image
SO now we see why rainbow warriors didn’t want a people’s vote on same-sex marriage. It was because they knew we’d see their true, intolerant colours. Yes campaign HQ knows thuggery won’t win over Middle Australia , but their foot-soldiers are revealing themselves as fascistic bullies who vilify and intimidate anyone who dares to disagree. Last week’s abusive exhibition by same-sex marriage activists at Sydney University was the clearest example yet. On Thursday, about 15 students, including members of the uni’s Catholic Society, set up an information table on the main campus thoroughfare with placards saying: “It’s OK to Say No”. They offered free kebabs and two large bowls of delicious Lebanese hummus made by one of their mothers. It was the first time the No campaign has had a presence on campus where “ Marriage Equality ” stalls have featured almost every day this semester. “The idea was pretty much to give the No campaign perspective on campus,” said 21-year-old IT student, Fra

Why would you throw a kid into the crosshairs of the homosexual marriage debate?

Why would you throw a kid into the crosshairs of the homosexual marriage debate?   Bill Shorten  (Labor Leader) brings boy with two mothers to parliament to give speech to justify  gay marriage - but should he be using children to prove his point? Shorten a former union leader, only came to fame when he inserted himself on TV during a mining disaster. He is a dominant homosexual marriage supporter and has utter contempt for anybody who opposes immoral homosexual marriage.  Bill Shorten has used a young boy in his personal campaign for homosexual marriage. The Labor Leader paraded the boy with two mums outside Parliament House.  The boy urged people to 'vote yes' to same-sex marriage in the postal survey. Mr Shorten was slammed online for 'manipulating a child for political gains' 'Using a child to campaign is disgusting. How low can you stoop,' a critic said. Labor leader Bill Shorten has divided his own colleagues, and the nation by parading a boy w

Margot Robbie Backs Marriage Equality On Saturday Night Live - but who cares what she says?

Image
Little known Aussie actress Margot Robbie used her first-ever hosting role on US TV show Saturday Night Live to call for Australia to legalise immoral homosexual marriage . Robbie, has appeared in  The Wolf of Wall Street and Suicide Squad , wore a black T-shirt with the slogan "Say 'I Do' Down Under" above a rainbow-coloured map of Australia. While she didn't address the topic directly in her appearance on SNL, Robbie's misplaced display of support for immoral homosexual marriage didn't raise any international profile of the effort to profile homosexual marriage in Australia. In fact, what it does point out is that gay advocates have no moral or intellectual argument for gay marriage. Along come Kylie Minogue and Robbie an make foolish statements like 'how backward' Australia appears to be.  Qld State Labor uses the same logic when pushing homosexual adoption - others states have done this, we're just catching up, we dont want to

Australia Gay marriage vote

Image
A February 11 marriage plebiscite is looking increasingly unlikely. Talks broke down yesterday between the Government and the Opposition about trying to find a way to steer enabling legislation for a people’s vote through the Parliament. We won’t know for sure until Parliament returns on October 10 but Labor has given every indication it will block the plebiscite in the Senate. The seeds of this were sown when Opposition Leader Bill Shorten said a plebiscite would cause people to take their own lives, a highly emotive and dangerous suggestion aimed at silencing debate. Labor should realise the danger and hyperbole of this rhetoric. It also says that Australians can’t be trusted to have a respectful debate. If Labor blocks the peoples’ vote, it is highly likely there will be no change to marriage for the remainder of this parliament. But the uncertainty surrounding the plebiscite does not mean that we should stop campaigning. Those seeking to change the definition of marriage are

Australia: Victoria Labor Left obsessed with LGBT sex

Image
IT’S not as though there is a lack of global problems (65.3 million displaced people, 23 million victims of human trafficking – to mention just two you may ponder) but Australian leftists seem obsessed with sex. If they’re not throwing themselves on the ground and crying over the inability of homosexuals to access the term “marriage” when homosexual couples already enjoy every other benefit already enjoyed by every other couple in the same relationship – ie, a de facto relationship – they’re embarked on an extraordinary social engineering exercise which denies and defies science. They are pursuing the legal installation of a systemic lie – that a man can be a woman or vice versa or for that matter be able to nominate the sex descriptor in their birth registration as male, female or specify a gender diverse or non-binary descriptor or provided it is not “obscene or offensive” register as anything else that may occur to them. In Daniel Andrews ’ socialist state of Victoria , the low

Australia: Advertising loophole means homosexual plebiscite campaign ads won’t be factually correct

Image
PUBLICLY funded advertising promoting each side of the proposed same-sex marriage plebiscite will not be bound by regular advertising standards requiring truth and accuracy, news.com.au understands. A spokeswoman for the Advertising Standards Bureau (ASB) told news.com.au communications promoting each camp’s messages will be classed as political advertising , and therefore will not be monitored by the industry body. If the campaigns were to be classed as political advertising, there would be no legal requirement for content of the ads to be factually correct , only that they be properly authorised as outlined in the Broadcasting Services Act. That means, when a TV or radio station runs “political matter”, it must be immediately followed by authorisation by the person responsible for approving the content and deciding it be broadcast. Though the authorisation itself — the quickly spoken message usually also written across a blank screen at the end of political campaign ads — must

Almost Everything Premier Andrews, Shorten, Wong Tell You About Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Is Wrong

Image
A major new report, published today in the journal The New Atlantis , challenges the leading narratives that the media has pushed regarding sexual orientation and gender identity. Co-authored by two of the nation’s leading scholars on mental health and sexuality, the 143-page report discusses over 200 peer-reviewed studies in the biological, psychological, and social sciences, painstakingly documenting what scientific research shows and does not show about sexuality and gender. The major takeaway, as the editor of the journal explains, is that “some of the most frequently heard claims about sexuality and gender are not supported by scientific evidence.” Here are four of the report’s most important conclusions: The belief that sexual orientation is an innate, biologically fixed human property—that people are ‘born that way’—is not supported by scientific evidence. Likewise, the belief that gender identity is an innate, fixed human property independent of biological sex—so that a pers

Australia: Shorten anybody who objects to homosexual marriage are haters who hide under rocks

Image
Federal Opposition Leader Bill Shorten has been accused of intolerance and "brutal" language towards people opposed to same-sex marriage, in a confrontation with a rector outside a church service this morning. Mr Shorten was among politicians attending the service to mark the start of the parliamentary year. The Labor leader is a vocal advocate of same-sex marriage, but has raised concerns a plebiscite would be divisive and encourage the vilification of same-sex couples. Rector Ian Powell, from a Canberra Anglican church, took the opportunity to raise concerns about Labor's approach. "You described people who weren't in favour of changing the definition of marriage as 'haters who come out from under rock'. Can I ask you not to speak like that?" he said. Mr Shorten said he was not being quoted accurately and did not want to be hectored. "People of faith can be opposed to marriage equality, but some people who object to marriage equality do h

Australia: Labor leader Mr. Shorten calls Christians - homophobes

Image
Australia: Federal Opposition Leader Bill Shorten should stop smearing supporters of the people's vote on marriage as "homophobes". If you object to homosexual marriage you are branded - bigot, backward, hater, homophobe...on and on. Australian Christian Lobby Managing Director Lyle Shelton said Mr Shorten's backflip on supporting a people's vote meant he could not have it both ways. "Was Mr Shorten a homophobe three years ago when he told an ACL election forum he supported a plebiscite? "The use of bullying language to demonise people who simply wish to preserve the definition of marriage must stop,” Mr Shelton said. "If there is homophobic or bigoted language being used in the marriage debate, Mr Shorten should give examples. “All of us deplore phobia against our fellow citizens. However, smearing people as bigots with unspecified allegations simply creates a climate of intimidation designed to silence one side of the debate. "Advocating

Australia: Ex Union Leader Bill Shorten fails to justify homosexual marriage - faulty logic

Image
Bill Shorten has opened up on how being a stepfather shaped his support for same-sex marriage, saying it taught him no relationship deserves the "moral judgement" of others. Does that include incest and adultery, or polygamy? Mr Shorten a former union leader, has campaigned hard on homosexual marriage, warning the plebiscite promised by the Coalition could unleash "hatred and homophobia" and instead promising to introduce homosexual marriage laws to Parliament within 100 days if Labor wins the election without protection to clergy, pastors, Christian business people, ministries, Christian hospitals and all those who support traditional marriage.  Shorten groups all objections by those who support traditional marriage as people who hate. This is directly from the LGBT playbook. Call them bigots, backward, haters, from the 1950's, religious nuts.  Shorten says the "steep learning curve" of raising children helped him realize that "pe
