March for Marriage in Paris was so huge it shocked the organizers

Image
PARIS, October 18, 2016 – The “Manif pour tous” has done it again. On Sunday, the French capital was once again the meeting place for tens of thousands of peaceful but determined demonstrators demanding laws that respect true marriage and ban artificial procreation, especially surrogate motherhood and   in vitro   fertilization for same-sex couples. To be honest, in the absence of legislative deadlines, four and a half years into François Hollande ’s presidential mandate, no one was expecting an enormous turn-out. But some 200,000 people, according to the organizers – the police only counted 24,000, something of an understatement… – marched through the wide avenues of the residential 16th   arrondissement   à Paris towards the Place du Trocadéro , across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower , in the still warm autumn sun. Even the organizers were taken by surprise: the venue was too small for the crowds whose steady flow kept pouring onto the square between 3 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.,

Police protect immoral homosexual marriage from protesting families with children

Vincent Autin and Bruno Boileau have become the first gay couple to wed in France , just days after president Francois Hollande signed the country's same-sex marriage bill into law . The men, aged 40 and 29, exchanged vows in front of about 600 guests at city hall in the southern city of Montpellier .  Montpellier mayor Helene Mandroux conducted the wedding ceremony , which was attended by dozens of members of the public and journalists. This was a political wedding with the knowledge that over 1 million French people gathered over the weekend to protest against this immoral law. "I cried when ( French president ) Hollande passed the law and I am still crying," she said. "I am proud of them." Montpellier is a bohemian city that boasts of being France's most gay-friendly town. Riot police on guard Outside the ceremony, up to 100 riot police were deployed to deal with any potential protests to protect legislated immorality. The ceremony marked

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Hours after the French Constitutional Counsel approved the gay ‘marriage’ law, President François Hollande signed it into law together with the prime minister, the minister for Health and Social affaire, Minister of Justice Christiane Taubira, and the deputy minister for the family. Symbolically, the law, known as the “Taubira law” after Minister of Justice Taubira, who introduced it, will bear the date of May 17th, 2013: the “International Day against Homophobia.” The decision by the Constitutional Counsel to release their verdict on the law the same day as a global pro-LGBT event is being seen as a sign that the Counsel, which is supposed to play a role similar to that of the American Supreme Court in verifying that new legislation is compatible with the French Constitution, made a political and par

April 23, 2013 - The French National Assembly voted for the text legalizing same-sex “marriage” and adoption by 331 votes against 225 on Tuesday afternoon . The Socialists were joined by the Greens, the Communist party and the Radicals and other leftwing groups, but also by Centrists and two members of the opposition UMP (ex- president Sarkozy ’s party), in adopting what Christiane Taubira , the French Justice minister, called a “change of civilization.” A handful of Socialists, Communists and Radicals voted against. Seconds after voting most of the opposition members left the chamber while the majority of the Left gave a standing ovation to the law. Clapping in rhythm, they chanted: “Equality, equality!”  A few minutes before the vote, the Assembly’s socialist president, Claude Bartolone , had reacted angrily to a move by the public in the galleries, when two young men started to unfurl a white banner with the word “Referendum.” “Get those enemies of democracy out of here!”

Amended same-sex marriage law passed in French Senate today to be rammed through Assembly next week

Image
PARIS, April 12, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - The French Senate gave final approval this morning to legislation permitting same-sex couples to “marry” and adopt children. Several amendments were made to the text approved by the National Assembly in February, making a second reading necessary in the National Assembly. Only hours after the vote, the government unexpectedly announced that the legislation will return to the Assembly next Wednesday, five weeks before the intended schedule. It is considered likely that only limited time will be allowed for discussion of the text and the government is apparently hoping that the amended articles will be passed without further changes, making subsequent legislative procedures unnecessary. French Senate The law’s main articles legalizing same-sex “marriage” and adoption were passed earlier this week by the Senate exactly as worded by the National Assembly, and will most probably not even be discussed during the second reading. March 25, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - According to organizers, nearly one and a half million people joined the third demonstration in five months against the legalization of same-sex “marriage” by the French government in Paris , on Sunday. Meanwhile, large numbers of demonstrators who were unable to join the main venue – which had filled up by 3 p.m. – or who headed straight to the largest and most prestigious Parisian thoroughfare, the Champs-Elysées , were sprayed with tear-gas and beaten as they neared the presidential palace. Victims included children as young as 6 years old, elderly gentlemen, women of all ages, middle-aged priests and monks, and even a baby aged 10 months. One boy, aged 14, named Lancelot, needed respiratory assistance for half an hour; another youth, Léonard, 17, was gassed and subsequently seized by riot police who threw him down the stairs at the entrance of a nearby subway station. French immoral homosexual ‘marriage’ bill passes in lower House

Image
PARIS , February 12, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – In a vote of 329-to-229, the Lower House of the French parliament has voted to bring in “gay marriage,” a decision that is generating a surprising force of opposition in this heavily secularised country. The bill must now go on to the Senate for final approval. The bill proposes to change the legal definition of marriage to being between two persons instead of a man and a woman, and allows same-sex partners to adopt children. The gay 'marriage' bill is backed by President François Hollande ’s Socialists Backed by President François Hollande’s Socialists and other left-wing MPs , the bill has prompted some spectacular public outpourings of opposition. Among those demonstrating against the bill are some homosexuals who say that it is not necessary to change the definition of marriage, given that existing civil partnership legislation grants most of the same privileges and rights. Religious leaders have objected that t
