Gay group demands political party boot Christian pol or be banned from Pride parade

One of the perverse things about today’s progressives is not simply that they are so often wrong, but that they often mean precisely the opposite of what they are saying but do not realize it. The promoters of “diversity” and “tolerance,” for example, make the witch-burners look positively relaxed as they ruthlessly hunt heretics and hound them from their jobs. Diversity is acceptable only within the narrowest of lanes — you can, for example, support the LGBTQIA2S agenda, but nobody will get too fussed if you just say you support the LGBTQ agenda, because it is presumed that you mean the same thing. Any indication that you do not support whatever the newest thing is, however, will not be tolerated. The latest would-be victim of the heresy-hunters is British Columbian politician Laurie Throness, the MLA for the constituency of Chilliwack-Kent. Throness and several other MLAs, as it turns out, had run ads in a Christian publication that, to the horror of Chilliwack Progress editor

British Columbia teachers plan to use 'Day of Pink' to teach homosexual indoctrination

Image
The British Columbia Parents and Teachers for Life (BCPTL) organization is warning parents that the BC Teachers’ Federation (BCTF) plans to use the " Day of Pink " to indoctrinate school children with "a pro- homosexuality message." The BCPTL points out that under the heading Day of Pink on its website , the BC Teachers' Federation "pays lip service to preventing the bullying of all students ," then goes on to give suggestions for school activities which "make crystal-clear what they think the objectives of the day ought to be." These activities include focusing on "gender role stereotyping, teasing, and homophobia ." "Discuss the harm of homophobic bullying with primary students," the BC Teachers’ Federation suggests for children as young as five. "Use the BCTF’s 'That’s so Gay!' poster with your class," its website instructs teachers . "Ask students if they have heard the expression on th

Bank of Montreal now requiring business partners to conform to its pro-gay ‘diversity’ standards

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The Bank of Montreal, Canada ’s fourth largest bank, has begun a process of requiring the businesses with which it works to conform to its pro-homosexual “diversity” standards. In an  October 9th email  to its legal suppliers, leaked by the Institute for Canadian Values, the Bank of Montreal ( BMO ) wrote that to show its “commitment to diversity and inclusion” it will no longer do business with law firms whose diversity standards are “not compatible” with the bank’s. However, the bank indicated that law firms were only the first among many groups it does business with to face the sanctions, stating: “The bank is starting with legal suppliers and going from there.” “BMO requires the law firms with whom we do business to disclose the diversity statistics of their associates, partners and management committee as part of our External Counsel Selection Program,” the co

Surrey school board ramps up pro-homosexual policy

Image
SURREY, British Columbia ,  – The Surrey School Board has  tightened up  its newly minted “Safe and caring schools” policy with what it calls a “statement of values” that “underscores” its commitment to “eliminating discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.” In the amendment to its June “anti-discrimination” policy, the Surrey school district will now “not permit or tolerate any homophobic and/or transphobic behavior such as harassment, intimidation, discrimination or bullying, whether by commission or by failing to act to end such behaviour.” The district justified the new policy this summer, stating that it “recognizes that school community members identifying (either publicly or privately) as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, transsexual, two-spirit, intersex, queer or questioning ( LGBTQ ) face a unique set of challenges within schools and communities.” It was only a little more than a decade ago that the Surrey School Board  went to bat  in the cou

Vancouver seeks to stem rising tide of syphilis among gay men

Image
VANCOUVER,  - In response to syphilis rates among Vancouver's homosexual/bisexual men having reached epidemic proportions, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has launch a new campaign aimed at stopping the spread of the highly contagious disease by distributing more condoms. In what the  Canadian Press  describes as a "cheeky internet and poster campaign," Vancouver Coastal Health's " Health Initiative for Men " focuses on " What's trending in Vancouver?" The VCH campaign answers its own question, "how do I protect myself?" by responding, the "regular use of condoms." In June, Vancouver Coastal Health and the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC)  issued a warning  that syphilis infections in homosexual and bisexual men have soared to their highest levels in more than 30 years in the Vancouver area. According to the warning, 2012 saw 371 new cases of syphilis reported in British Columbia. Eighty

That way lies tyranny: A Canadian warning to every country about redefining marriage

Image
It’s been said that history is a vast early warning system. If so, Christians in America should heed a somber warning from Canada based on our country’s documented experience after redefining marriage.  The U.S. Supreme Court ruling that recently struck down the Defense of Marriage Act less than 2 weeks ago has paved the way for the redefinition of marriage in your country. The direct consequence of homosexual 'marriage' in Canada has been the loss of free speech, parental rights, the persecution of Christians , and systemic discrimination in the workplace.  Neither people of faith, nor Republican Party leaders should believe the lie that legalizing same-sex marriage “won’t affect the daily lives of heterosexuals”.   It has in Canada. It will there too. Campaign Life Coalition has documented in chronologic order, the progression of religious persecution over the past decade in a  report  titled “ Anti-Christian Persecution & Oppression in Canada: The high cost

Syphilis rates at ‘epidemic proportions’ among Vancouver gay/bisexual men

VANCOUVER, June 10, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) and the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) have  issued a warning  that syphilis infections in homosexual and bisexual men have soared to their highest levels in more than 30 years in the Vancouver area.  According to the warning, 2012 saw 371 new cases of syphilis reported in British Columbia. Eighty percent of those cases were diagnosed in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, which stretches from Metro Vancouver northward along the coast to Bella Coola , and were confined almost entirely to the male homosexual community. According to VCH's syphilis infection records, the disease was almost non-existent in the early 1990s, with only 3 infections, mostly associated with female prostitutes, reported in 1993. By 1997 the number of cases rose to 22, and then exploded as the disease shifted to the male homosexual community in the early 2000s. According to the  Public Health A

Proposed B.C. Christian law school attacked by pro-gay activists over voluntary morality pledge

Image
LANGLEY, British Columbia , 29 January, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The Canadian Council of Law Deans is doing its best to sabotage efforts by a respected evangelical university in BC to open the country’s first law school run by Christians , all because the university requires students to pledge to adhere to traditional Christian sexual ethics. Canada’s law deans say that Trinity Western University ’s (TWU) “community covenant” on sexual purity is “fundamentally incompatible” with the core values of Canadian law schools and the social values of diversity since it allegedly discriminates against gay, lesbian and bisexual students. TWU’s “community covenant” is a  solemn pledge  made by all university members to “voluntarily abstain” from “sexual intimacy that violates the sacredness of marriage between a man and a woman”. The pledge also asks that university members abstain from gossip, slander, lying, cheating, stealing, pornography, and drunkenness.  William Flanagan, pres
