Brazil’s new president to eliminate transgender, pro-gay ideology from schools

Image
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro announced plans last week to revise textbooks in public schools and eliminate references to homosexuality, same-sex “marriage,” and violence against women. There are also proposals to give the military control of some public schools. Once Bolsonaro took office, the Ministry of Education issued new guidelines for textbook publishers that erased references to gender ideology and sexism. The ministry also eliminated its diversity department. On the eve of his Jan. 1 inauguration, Bolsonaro tweeted his intentions. “One of the goals to get Brazil out of the worst positions in international education rankings is to combat the Marxist rubbish that has spread in educational institutions.” Education Minister Ricardo Velez Rodriguez vowed in his inaugural speech to end the “aggressive promotion of the gender ideology.” In a poll published Jan. 8 by Datafolha, 59 percent of evangelical Christians said they did not approve of sex education being discussed at sch

Brazil’s new president declares ‘God above all,’ vows to fight gender ideology

Brazil’s new president Jair Bolsonaro was sworn into office on the first of January, and wasted no time in expressing his intention to lead the country in accordance with “Judeo-Christian” principles and to defend the institution of the family against “destructive” gender ideology and “political correctness.” In his address to Brazil’s National Congress, Bolsonaro promised that “we are going to unite the people, value the family, respect religions and our Judeo-Christian tradition, combat gender ideology, conserving our values.” “Brazil will return to being a country free of the chains of ideology,” added Bolsonaro. “My electoral campaign listened to the call of the streets and forged a commitment to place Brazil first and God above all.” Promises to restore Brazil from collapse in moral values The country’s new president noted the catastrophic effects of the collapse of moral values that had occurred in recent decades in Brazil under socialist rule. Brazil has seen a massive surge

Brazilian judge: It’s OK for therapists to help patients with unwanted gay attractions

Image
A Brazilian judge has ruled psychologists are within their rights to help patients overcome unwanted same-sex attractions . Judge Waldemar Claudio de Carvalho issued the ruling last week. He sided with Rozangela Justino, a Christian psychologist who lost her license in 2016 after working with at least one patient to overcome same-sex attractions. “To tell adults they may not receive talk therapy for a personal issue that's bothering them is a monstrous strike against freedom,” Austin Ruse , president of the Center for Family and Human Rights , told LifeSiteNews. “The Brazilian judge did exactly the right thing.” Brazilian celebrities are protesting the decision, and LGBT activists have promised to appeal. There’s “no way to cure what is not a disease,” said Rogerio Giannini, president of Brazil’s The Federal Council of Psychology. So-called “ conversion therapy ” had previously been banned in Brazil since 1999.  Those who support allowing therapists to help clie

Brazilian government demands apology from televangelist for ‘homophobia’

Image
A Brazilian federal prosecutor is demanding that a televangelist retract certain statements he made which the prosecutor says incited “hatred” against homosexuals - a thinly veiled threat of future legal action . “The people in the Gay Parade mock the symbols of the Catholic Church and no one says anything,” televangelist Silas Malafaia reportedly said. “The Catholic Church should take a stick to these guys, you know? They should lower the club on them.” Silas Malafia Malafaia has reportedly responded to criticisms that he was inciting violence against homosexuals by stating that by “take a stick” (“entrar de pau”) and “lower the club” (“baixar o porrete) he meant the Church should “formulate criticisms, take legal actions.” In his remarks Malafaia was referring to the desecration of sacred images that occur regularly in homosexual parades in Brazil. Federal prosecutor Jefferson Apareceido Dias says the comments contain “clear homophobic content, because they incite violenc

Blogger ordered to pay $6,000 for protesting taxpayer funding of transgender group

Image
A Brazilian Catholic blogger was ordered to pay a US$6,000 fine after his conviction for hate speech against homosexuals . Roberto Flavio Calvacanti published the offending article on his blog “Catholicism and Conservatism” in 2007. Federal prosecutors characterized it as “clear hate speech and incompatible with human respect and dignity.” His post called for the public to protest a proposal before Campo Grande city council to fund the Transvestite and Transsexual Association of Mato Grosso do Sul. He declared, “It is the limit of villainy to consider giving taxpayer money to the main hosts of infectious and communicable diseases as AIDS and syphilis.” The article continued, “Evidently, Campo Grande has more moral and urgent needs for tax money than funding an association of transvestites. In a little while they may propose tax money to pedophiles. If you are also against the State funding homosexuality and faggoting, visit the website and vote NO.” Fellow pro-famil

Homosexual Church = Bible ignorance

With his booming voice and high-voltage charisma capable of working crowds of hundreds into a lather, Marcos Gladstone has all the trappings of a successful preacher. But Gladstone has something that most other Pentecostal leaders don’t – a husband. He and spouse Fabio Inacio are co-founders of the Contemporary Christian Church, one of a handful of Pentecostal denominations in Brazil that welcome gays and lesbians with open arms and was born out of Gladstone’s dream to preach “a gospel of love and acceptance for all people.” ................................................................................................................................................................... Let’s be straight with each other regarding this "Contemporary Christian Church" run by two homosexuals .  It is not a Church it is an abomination before God. Homosexuality turns our stomachs. What usually passes for sophistication today is the rejection of common sense, of wh

Women on Top: How Real Life Has Changed Women's Sexual Fantasies (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) This is a common error made by those in the pro-homosexual movement.  It is an error known as a category mistake .  A  category mistake  is attributing the property of one thing to something else that does not have that property.  For example, to say "Blue sleeps faster than Wednesday" is to confuse an attribute of color with speed and compare it to a name.  This error is very common among proponents of homosexuality.  Another example would be to say that " Gay sex is just love."  This confuses a sexual behavior with an emotional condition.  They're not the same thing. Besides, if they were, then there would have to be a whole lot of love going on, as this quote would demonstrate: "Bell and Weinberg reported evidence of widespread sexual compulsion among homosexual men.  83% of the homosexual men surveyed estimated they had had sex with 50 or more part

Confused Pope confuses people over the gospel and homosexuality

Image
The Pope just returned from his visit to Brazil , and three different stories from the trip dominated the religious news last week. First, he declared that retweeting his updates about World Youth Day would help merit an indulgence. Then he led Mass for 3 million people in Brazil, and finally he declared that it is “not my role to judge gay priests.” That’s quite a news cycle, but hardly news. If you are not familiar with the differences between Catholicism and the gospel, here is a one paragraph theology lesson followed by a one paragraph history lesson: The Roman Catholic Church teaches that people can be saved from hell through a combination of faith and works (works energized by faith, if you will). Of course, salvation from hell is only part of the story, because according to the RCC, at death your soul goes to purgatory where the remaining sin is purged through suffering and torment. The difference between purgatory and hell is one of duration, and clearly the doctrine
