Isn't homosexuality just like normal heterosexuality?

Image
People who engage in homosexual behavior are normal in many ways. Like anyone else, they have friends and family, they work and play, they love and hate, and have fears and dreams.  But it seems strange to admit that  everything  about homosexuality is normal. Indeed, it’s hard to say any class of people is normal in every way. For example, I’m Assyrian. My people are normal in many ways, but there are also many things about us that are abnormal (or just downright weird). We have genetic differences – we are a Semitic people . Our language is extremely uncommon. We have an over-active hair hormone (much to the chagrin of female Assyrians). Our food is strange to my friends and when people see my relatives talk, they think we’re shouting at each other (which we are, but that’s how we talk). We’re not normal in every way. The same is true of homosexuals. They are normal in many ways, but there are also things about them that are not. They just occur in different categories than

LGBTTIQQ2S: How many more letters do we need?

“LGBTTIQQ2S? How many letters do we need, and what do half of these even stand for?,” someone recently asked in the comments section of a news article I wrote. The answer is simple: A letter is needed for every single sexual inclination and action that deviates from the obvious norm - i.e. sexual inclinations and actions between a male and female that are best expressed in marriage. Can I say such a thing without being discriminatory and homophobic? I hope it is not being discriminatory to point out what biology teaches. On a purely biological level, sexual organs are for the sake of reproduction. Nature produced woman with a vagina and man with a penis so that the two could come together to procreate new life. Ejaculation is for the sake of shooting a seed to fertilize the egg so that a new human being can come into existence. On a purely biological level, the sexual inclination is for the sake of the continuation of the species. If there was no sexual drive , the hum

WHY MALE AND FEMALE MATTER

Image
By Jeff Johnston Ask people today  if  men and women are different or  how  men and women are different. You’re likely to get a wide variety of responses. Some will insist that there is no difference between men and women – except for reproductive organs . Many will say that all differences between the two sexes are learned; they are a social construct . Some will question your basic premise that there are two sexes. Why limit it to only two? Others will insist that gender is fluid, that people can express hundreds of different genders, or that gender is changeable, that a man can transition into a woman. Many people will not even know how to respond, or whether they should respond. Isn’t it sexist to say that women are different from men? What a state of confusion we live in. While obviously we can’t delve very deeply into this topic in a short article, here are some of the things we believe about men and women and why it matters that there are two sexes.
