Is the gay bullying plague in schools a myth?

Image
Some schools have gay–straight alliances or similar groups to counter homophobia and bullying and provide support for LGBT students in school but it is a lie. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The Hon Christopher Pyne    Minister for Education    Dear Mr Pyne , I trust you, or your advisors, will give serious consideration to the medical evidence below and reconsider your decision to fund the so-called Safe Schools programme throughout Australia . The political justification for ‘Safe Schools’ programmes, or the associated ‘ Gay-Straight Alliances ’, is that there is a plague of gay-based bullying in our schools, and the only way to counter that is through celebrating homosexuality. That justification, however, is doubtful. In one  large study  comparing a thousand homosexual and heterosexual adults in the UK , published in the  British Journal of Psychiatry  in 2003, the researchers found no increase in bullying of gay men compared to heterosexual men, whether at school or sub

Megachurch pastor: Denominations that allow gay ‘marriage’ are ‘Satan’s church’

Image
In the wake of the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s recent decision to celebrate same-sex “marriages,” celebrity pastor John MacArthur of “Grace to You” has come out with some strong statements condemning “false churches” that abandon Biblical teachings against homosexual behavior. “They have no allegiance to the Bible,” MacArthur told  The Blaze  online news service. “You go back to every one of those seminaries … for a century [they] have been deniers of biblical authority, they have no relationship to scripture, they are the apostate church, they are Satan’s church.” While it seems clear MacArthur was implying that self-professed Christians who accept gay “marriage” are doing Satan’s work, not necessarily worshiping the devil, it is worth noting that the actual  Satanic Temple of America  has called same-sex “marriage” one of its “ sacraments .” MacArthur, who is Baptist, believes in the teachings of John Calvin regarding the inerrancy and literal truth of Scripture.  The PCU

Celebrity swimmer Ian Thorpe comes out

Image
Ian Thorpe (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Unlike everyone else in Australia with a microphone or a keyboard, I don’t feel like congratulating Ian Thorpe . The 31-year-old swimming superstar who has won more Olympic golds than any other Australian announced on the weekend that he was gay. With his broad smile, his size 17 shoes, and 6-foot, 5-inch frame, “Thorpedo” is one of Australia’s most popular sportsmen. When Sydney hosted the Olympic Games in 2000, he was Young Australian of the year . Speaking with talk show host Michael Parkinson , Thorpe confirmed years of rumours. His parents were shocked but most of his friends were not surprised. “This is something I thought about for a long time. I am not straight," he told Parkinson. "And this is only something that very recently - we are talking in the past two weeks - I've been comfortable telling the closest people around me." Prominent gays and lesbians were jubilant and welcomed him home. An Australian t

Perhaps we need a new Revolution to defend marriage: author

Robert R. Reilly has penned one of the most important books on same-sex ‘marriage’ to date, yet the book has seen little coverage  even from conservative  media.  Making Gay Okay , published by Ignatius Press earlier this year, has answered how and why the movement for gay “marriage” has swept America and the only way to defeat it – a way that has been largely ignored, with predictable results. In an interview with  LifeSiteNews,  Reilly, who served as senior advisor for information strategy for the U.S. Secretary of Defense from 2002 to 2006 and has taught at the National Defense University , noted with wit that the most immediate cause of the current situation in America was “the sexual revolution in the 1960s that separated sex from diapers.” “If heterosexuals can rationalize their sexual misbehavior, why can’t homosexuals rationalize theirs?” he said. “The deeper cause has been the overthrow of the ‘ Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God’ as a source of moral meaning.”

First New Zealand lesbian ‘marriage’ over already?

New Zealand ’s first same-sex “marriage” is shaping up to become the country’s first same-sex divorce. Less than a year since they became the poster girls for the country’s new legal definition of marriage (last August) the  NZ Herald reports  that Melissa Ray , a former Ferns football player, and Natasha Vitali, a sales rep, are “believed to have split”. The main source of the story appears to be Ms Vitali’s Facebook page on which the following poem appeared yesterday: Drink it down, laugh it off, Avoid the drama, take chances, And never have regrets,  Because at one point everything you did,  Was exactly what you wanted. When the  Herald  contacted her Ms Vitali said: "It's not anyone's business, we'll just leave it at that, but thank you for calling.” And, “I'm not talking to you about my private life, we got enough coverage when we got married." It is well known that female partnerships break up more often than male – twice as much, accordi

Federal appeals court strikes down Oklahoma marriage protection amendment

Image
English: The in , , used by the and the . (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Oklahoma is the latest state to have its ban on same-sex “marriage” struck down by a federal appeals court. On Friday, a three-judge panel of the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver voted 2-1 to uphold a previous lower court ruling declaring the state’s marriage protection amendment unconstitutional. However, homosexual couples wanting to “marry” in the state will likely have to wait for the U.S. Supreme Court to settle the matter. Just as they did after striking down a similar law in Utah in June, the 10 th  Circuit has stayed their own ruling pending appeal. The battle over same-sex “marriage” in Oklahoma began in 2004, when 76 percent of Oklahoma voters approved a constitutional amendment that defined marriage as a union between one man and one woman and stated that same-sex “marriages” granted by other states could not be recognized in Oklahoma.  Shortly after the vote, two lesbian couples s
