The Salvation Army a ‘Hate’ Group? Preposterous!

Image
To think of the Salvation Army — which does so much good work for people of every race, creed, color, sexual orientation, whatever — as somehow anti-gay is preposterous. How is the Salvation Army a Hate Group? A few weeks ago a singer from England initially refused to participate in a half-time show at a football game in Texas because it was to benefit the Salvation Army. Singer Ellie Goulding, who later relented, said, “I am a committed philanthropist as you probably know, and my heart has always been in helping the homeless, but supporting an anti-LGBTQ charity is clearly not something I would ever intentionally do.” By what criterion is the Salvation Army an anti-gay hate group? Because they do not let practicing, unrepentant homosexuals become leaders? Should GLAAD or other radical LGBTQ groups be forced, against their will, to have as leaders those who oppose their lifestyle? This politically correct culture has lost any semblance of moral clarity to label a group

Who is Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC)?

Image
U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is demanding that the IRS look into the tax status of the liberal hate group Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC). This extremist organization has managed to position itself among the leftist mainstream media as an arbiter of acceptable beliefs and actions, deeming those who are out of compliance with leftist group-think as "hate groups." Their stock in trade is defamation, and their target is primarily conservatives, especially groups that advocate a Christian perspective on contemporary social issues such as fake homosexual marriage. Many Christian ministries have frequently been in the crosshairs of the SPLC as a result of our advocacy for marriage, the biological nature of gender and our adherence to a biblical worldview of human sexuality. The SPLC has stopped short of declaring some Christian churches as  official "hate groups," but they have frequently defamed many ministries with charges of "intolerance," "anti-gay

Michigan’s lesbian AG investigating Catholic media org as part of ‘hate group’ crackdown

Image
Michigan’s lesbian attorney general and the state’s Department of Civil Rights director are investigating organizations the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has deemed “hate groups.” One such group in their state is Catholic news service Church Militant, which reports on clerical sexual misdeeds and advocates adherence to the teachings of the Catholic Church. The SPLC has labeled Church Militant “anti-LGBT.” The law center lumps pro-life , pro-marriage, and Christian organizations in with neo-Nazis and the KKK as “hate groups.” Its “ hate map ” inspired a man to attempt a shooting rampage at the Family Research Council’s headquarters in 2012, the first incident of armed domestic terrorism in Washington, D.C. Attorney General Dana Nessel and Department of Civil Rights Director Agustin V. Arbulu say they are responding to the SPLC’s annual “hate map” report . They claim that the SPLC has documented an increase of “active extremist and hate organizations in Michigan.” Accor

Southern Poverty Law Center seeks to crush opponents of the LGBT agenda

The Southern Poverty Law Center ( SPLC ) is receiving millions of dollars in new grants in the wake of the Charlottesville protest riots, even as criticism of the leftist group grows over its politicized “hate” designations that now target liberals exposing Islamic jihadists. The SPLC, which serves as a tool of the Left by mislabeling mainstream conservative organizations and leaders as “haters” and “extremists,” is already one of the best funded politically-oriented non-profit groups in the world. SPLC's 990 IRS filing for 2015 reports $58,176,499 in total revenue, an astonishing amount for a politically-oriented non-profit. Moreover, SPLC self-reported an endowment fund of more than $319 million in its 2016 annual report, also unheard of in the world of non-profit organizations dealing with “culture war” issues. Another troublesome issue is the SPLC’s shifting in recent years of millions of dollars to offshore accounts (the Cayman Islands), a bizarre practice for a tax-exemp

SPLC urges army to declare American Family Association an ‘extremist’ group

Image
WASHINGTON, D.C., December 16 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – In response to calls by the Southern Poverty Law Center to have the army declare the American Family Association as an “extremist” group, the spokesman for the AFA has shot back, accusing the SPLC of being the true “hate” group. “The AFA doesn’t hate anyone,” AFA Director of Issue Analaysi and Spokesman Brian Fischer told LifeSiteNews.com in an e-mail. “The real hate in all this debate is coming from the SPLC and is directed toward people of faith. The real hate group here is the SPLC.” Last week, the SPLC  urged  Army Secretary John McHugh to list the American Family Association (AFA) as an extremist group.  AFA Director of Issue Analysis and spokesman Brian Fischer. According to SPLC's Josh Glasstetter , McHugh should classify the AFA as an extremist group because, he claims, Director of Issue Analysis and spokersperson Bryan Fischer has said homosexuals are responsible for the Holocaust. He also says Fisher ha

FBI: Uses group that classify Christians who disagree with Homosexuality as Hate Crime candidates

WASHINGTON, D.C. , – The FBI is still under fire for listing the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) – which considers organizations that oppose same-sex “marriage” hate groups – as a resource on its  Hate Crimes website  alongside official government resources. While a spokesman for the FBI has twice refused to comment to  LifeSiteNews.com  about the listing of the SPLC as a resource, one spokesperson  told   CNS News that "the Resource link to SPLC is for informational purposes and not an endorsement of the organization or the information on their website.” Gay activist Floyd Corkins opened fire on the Family Research Council headquarters, and admitted he targeted the organization based on SPLC's designation of the group as a "hate group." The SPLC’s targeting of pro-family groups has been linked to at least one terrorist act, a shooting at the Family Research Council's headquarters in Washington, D.C. The shooter said he used the SPLC's “

Queensland GOA Billboard Advertising "I'm having a lesbian" promoting consumer fraud?

Image
A PREGNANT woman who is "having a lesbian" stars in a provocative new billboard to promote gay marriage. Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays spokeswoman Shelley Argent said the campaign was designed to garner support from mainstream families for gay marriage, on the grounds that gay children were "born that way". "Being lesbian or gay is not a choice," she said.  "It's got nothing to do with culture or parenting skills.  "It's just the way you are. You're born that way." The billboard shows a smiling woman baring her pregnant belly, with the slogan, "Congratulations, you're having a lesbian".  Billboard giant GOA has donated space for the ads, worth up to $60,000, in Queensland. GOA managing directo r Chris Tyquin said he would ask interstate billboard companies to donate space as well.  There is no scientific consensus that sexual orientation is fixed and immutable on the contrary, many studies have co

Former APA president: I know of ‘hundreds’ of homosexuals who changed their orientation

Image
A renowned psychologist who was a former president of the American Psychological Association (APA) has submitted  an affidavit  saying that he personally treated over 2,000 homosexuals for various conditions, while his staff counselled thousands more, and he knows of “hundreds” who successfully changed their orientation. Nicholas Cummings filed the affidavit in support of a motion by JONAH ( Jews Offering New Alternatives for Healing ) before the New Jersey Superior Court to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) accusing the group of “fraud” for offering reparative therapy services. JONAH is a Jewish organization that offers assistance to men and women seeking to resolve their sexual conflicts, focusing specifically on unwanted same-sex attractions . The SPLC  filed a lawsuit against JONAH  in November of 2012, alleging the group is guilty of “ consumer fraud ” because the therapy is not always successful in changing people’s sexual preferences.

Family Research Council: The shots not heard ‘round the world

Image
WASHINGTON, D.C. , February 8, 2013, ( Family Research Council ) - It seems hard to believe, Jim Treacher wrote yesterday, "but once upon a time, there was a shooting the national news didn't want to talk about." That's because the shooting was at FRC. And although the gunman was a  politically-motivated activist  who stormed a building less than a mile from the White House , there's a reason most Americans have never heard of him. After years of  insisting that  conservatives  were the hateful ones , the attack at FRC was an inconvenient storyline for a media  bent on hiding  where the real intolerance lies. The day after Floyd Corkins walked into our headquarters and opened fire, I said that while Corkins was responsible for the shooting, he had been  given a license to perpetrate this act of violence by groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) which has recklessly labeled every organization with which they disagree a "hate group."
