Openly-gay Jussie Smollett charged with filing false police report for staged MAGA attack

Image
The 'homophobic,' pro-Trump assault of openly-homosexual Jussie Smollett that gripped the mainstream media never happened, according to Chicago police and prosecutors who are charging the Empire actor with staging the incident for publicity and career advancement. The 36-year-old actor says he was assaulted in Chicago on January 29, when two masked men allegedly shouted racial and 'homophobic' epithets, beat him to the point of fracturing a rib, put a rope around his neck, and poured bleach on him. “This is MAGA country,” they allegedly yelled, a reference to President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan. Numerous Democrats, liberal media figures, and Smollett himself aggressively pushed the narrative that the incident was part of a wave of hate inspired by the president. But critics immediately questioned the likelihood of violent Trump supporters roaming around the streets of strongly-Democratic Chicago, suspicions that intensified after police failed t

Gay journalist: LGBT media outlets use ‘fake news’ to advance movement

Image
Pro-LGBT media outlets and activists groups have been “emotionally manipulating and even entirely misleading LGBT people” with misleading or even entirely false reports of persecution by a "homophobic" government and culture, according to a recent column by Federalist contributor Chad Felix Greene. Greene, a self-described “conservative” who is himse, f homosexual, used his September 14 piece to highlight six stories that garnered significant traction in LGBT circles, but misrepresented their subject matter with unsupported claims, omitted details, and misplaced emphasis. His first example was legislation introduced in July by Rep. Jeff Duncan, R-SC, to forbid U.S. embassies from flying any flag other than the American flag, which outlets such as the Washington Blade characterized as specifically targeting rainbow “pride” banners. But as LifeSiteNews covered at the time , while some embassies promoting LGBT “pride” has been a source of controversy, the bill did not targe

Liberals have made ‘homophobia’ a completely meaningless word

Image
Christians are not commanded to simply “tolerate” their neighbors, they are commanded to  love  their neighbors—and love, in the Christian tradition , is not simply a feeling of warmth or affection, it is quite literally to  desire the other’s good .  Progressives, however, do not mean that we should all tolerate  people —they mean that everyone must tolerate  behaviors and lifestyles , regardless of whether some believe those lifestyles and behaviors to be harmful, and thus incompatible with desiring the other’s good. One example of this trend is how Christians in North America are being smeared with the “homophobia” label.  Being labeled “homophobic” today doesn’t actually mean that you fear or hate gay people. What it simply means is that you disagree some parts of the LGBTQ agenda, whether that be gay “marriage” or transgender pronouns or religious liberty. In fact, you can have friends or family members who are members of this community that you know and love, and thi

Contractor dismissed due to views on same sex marriage

Image
In the context of the current postal survey on changing the law of marriage in Australia ,  press reports  in the last few days indicate that a contractor who had been working for an ACT-based children’s entertainment business has lost her position solely due to her indication of support for a “No” vote in the current postal survey on the issue being conducted in Australia . (See  here  for a detailed report on the incident quoting both sides.) It seems worth commenting on the legal implications of the decision to terminate the contractor, especially in light of the “Safeguards” legislation that was recently passed by the Federal Parliament , and on which I  recently posted .  It seems arguable (based on what has been reported in the press) that the business owner here has breached a number of laws. Whether or not the dismissed contractor, Madeline, will take legal action, it is worth noting this, in case others decide to take a similar approach to employees or contractors

Why marriage should be between a man and a woman

Image
"On the issue of marriage I think the reality is there is a cultural, religious, historical view around that which we have to respect. The party's position is very clear that this is an institution that is between a man and a woman." If I told you that was a quote from Cory Bernardi , Lyle Shelton or worse, that oft condemned unreconstructed traditionalist Tony Abbott , would you consider it just more evidence of their homophobia ? Many commentators would. It seems right now no one can make any statement in favour of marriage without being condemned for being a "hater" or "bigot".  However, the statement doesn't come from Mr Bernardi, but from that other strong-minded senator from South Australia , Penny Wong . Senator Wong articulated the traditional view of marriage in an interview on the Sunday program on network TEN in 2010. She spoke it in that calm, emphatic metre which has made her so formidable in our parliament. It's a bold

LGBT researchers want: Democratic, sexually pluralist society.

Image
English: Gender symbols, sexual orientation: heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality. Česky: (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) This is how LGBT researchers word their agenda:  Apart from differences associated with parental gender, most of the presently observable differences in child "outcomes" should wither away under conditions of full equality and respect for sexual diversity . Indeed, it is time to recognize that the categories "lesbian mother" and " gay father " are historically transitional and conceptually flawed, because they erroneously imply that a parent's sexual orientation is the decisive characteristic of her or his parenting.  On the contrary, we propose that homophobia and discrimination are the chief reasons why parental sexual orientation matters at all. Because lesbigay parents do not enjoy the same rights, respect, and recognition as heterosexual parents, their children contend with the burdens of vicarious social stigma

UK grammar school has question on marriage - homosexuals claim it is a homophobic question

Image
A grammar school in the UK included a question on traditional marriage in a Maths quiz - homosexuals are screaming that they are offended and the school is homophobic . Bizarre! The teacher at Royal Grammar School , an all-boy’s school in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire , included a statement about traditional marriage in a question about percentages . Here is the question: ‘If in a town 70% of the men are married to 90% of the women (and each marriage is between one man and woman, as God intended when he made humans male and female) what percentage of the adult population are married?’ Parents have screamed it as homophobic and for teaching children homophobia instead of teaching calculations. The maths is in the question. What people are objecting to is the traditional definition of marriage. " between one man and woman, as  God  intended when he made humans male and female)" So, why is the traditional concept of marriage so offensive and homophobic? Why are pe

A Christian Message to homosexuals

Image
I know that many of you are not only hurting, you are also angry. And your anger is not just directed at the Muslim terrorist who slaughtered so many of your people. You are also angry at Christians, believing that we have helped to create the toxic, hateful atmosphere that led to the horrific massacre. A gay activist in Charlotte, North Carolina, expressed his anger towards what he called the “sanctimonious bulls—t” of conservative Christian leaders, saying , “You helped cause this massacre. Your anti-LGBTQ theology assisted in helping others, including the Orlando shooter, in seeing each of our precious LGBTQ lives as dispensable and worthy of death. . . . F--k your prayers and your chaplains. How 'bout you stop your anti-queer theology that supports our death and despair, huh?” In your eyes, people like me are hateful bigots, not recognizing the validity of your marriages, not recognizing the depth of your relationships, not recognizing the beauty of your families. And when w

Is saying homosexuality a sin being homophobic?

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) One of the battles the homosexuals and lesbians have waged in their attempt to get homosexuality accepted in American culture is the war of words.  The terms " homophobe ," "homophobic," "homophobia," are often used to describe anyone who disagrees with homosexuality.  Generally speaking, if they can get us to react to their words on their terms, much of the battle is already won by them.  Such is the case with accusing anyone who disapproves of homosexuality as being homophobic. The intent is to use a term that has a negative emotional connotation and use it in such a way as to accuse the guilty party of unwarranted prejudice and discrimination.  It is, ultimately, a disingenuous way of dealing with the issue.  Gen

The battle over words

Image
English: Photographs of the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Intellectual and moral battles occur using words.  Therefore, it is necessary to define the terms and also realize that words have denotation and connotation.  Denotation is the literal meaning of a word and connotation is the hidden, emotional meaning.  For example, the denotation of the word "mother" means a female who has borne offspring.  The connotation of "mother" is a warm, caring parent who always loves you.  Connotations can be positive and negative.  The word "mother" has a positive feeling to it.  The word "bigot" has a negative feel (connation).  When liberals use vocabulary, they tend to use connotations that are favorable for them and negative for their opponents.  For example, you will hear about " homosexual rights " because the word "rights" has a positive connotation.  We support people's rights, don't we
