Pediatric “gender clinics” are considered elite centers for affirming children who are distressed by their biological sex. This distressful condition, once dubbed gender identity disorder, was renamed “gender dysphoria” in 2013. In 2014, there were  24 of these gender clinics , clustered chiefly along the east coast and in California . One year later, there were 40 across the nation. With  215 pediatric residency programs  now training future pediatricians in a transition-affirming protocol and treating gender-dysphoric children accordingly, gender clinics are bound to proliferate further. WASHINGTON, D.C. , March 19, 2014 – Trying to boost enrolment numbers as March 31 approaches, the Obama administration is taking new executive actions, including requiring insurance companies participating in the Affordable Care Act (ACA) to cover same-sex couples . Bloomberg   reports  that the administration has ordered same-sex couples to be treated as “families” by insurers participating in the ACA exchanges. Judicial Crisis Network Chief Counsel Carrie Severino says “the move shows Obama administration is not interested in respecting a state's inherent authority in this area. They're simply pursing a political end.”  The administration has made over a dozen changes to the ACA, some of which have been declared illegal by Republicans. DES MOINES, IA ,  – The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is one of the most controversial laws in America because of its mandates, taxes, and coverage of elective abortions with a $1 surcharge. Now, there may be another reason for debate on the law's merits: taxpayer-funded “gender reassignment” surgery. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) As the Obama Administration gears up to celebrate “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month” throughout June, Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced  Monday that meeting the special needs of homosexuals will be a targeted goal of Obamacare because “for too long...[they] were pushed to the side.” “For too long, the health concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) individuals were pushed to the side,” Sebelius said in a  statement . “LGBT individuals have faced limited access to health care and insurance. They have been less likely to get the preventive care they need to stay healthy, they have higher rates of tobacco use, and they are often at increased risk for mental health illness.” Rather than discouraging high-risk homosexual behaviors, Sebelius highlighted special programs and regulations that address the medica
