Commonsense pushing back LGBT ideology

Image
Gay rights advocates in Oklahoma are launching a campaign to stop a bill they say will codify the ability of religious-based adoption agencies to discriminate against same-sex couples seeking to adopt. Like all LGBT groups they must silence and dominate any and all opposition. They will use the courts, verbal threats, verbal abuse and mockery to achieve their sinful, immoral, broken lifestyle homosexual dominance. Freedom Oklahoma Executive Director Troy Stevenson said Monday the bill is unnecessary and would deny children the right to a loving family. But this is less than truthful as gay families do not give children a mother and a father but a perverted version of a family. They use the word 'loving family' but it is a distorted love. Senate Bill 1140 is being well promoted by faith-based groups including the Catholic Conference of Oklahoma and the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma . It would protect child-placing agencies that block adoptive parents who do n

Franklin Graham saddened by new homosexual marriage law

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) Franklin Graham : As you've heard by now, the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states. Even Texas moved immediately to start issuing same-sex marriage licenses. The good news, if there is any, is the Supreme Court did not define marriage, and therefore is not entitled to re-define it. "Long before our government came into existence, marriage was created by the One who created man and woman— Almighty God —and His decisions are not subject to review or revision by any manmade court," Graham said. "God is clear about the definition of marriage in His Holy Word: "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh" (Gen. 2:24). "I pray God will spare America

32 states ask the Supreme Court to weigh in on same-sex ‘marriage’ bans

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) America’s so-called “ red states ” and “blue states” may have very different views about whether same-sex “marriage” should be legal, but there’s one thing a majority have agreed upon: The Supreme Court needs to make a ruling on the issue, and soon. Citing the “morass” brought about by dozens of conflicting court decisions at both the state and federal level regarding the legality of marriage protection laws – which define marriage as a union between one man and one woman – seventeen states with such laws have signed on to a court filing asking the Supreme Court to review two federal circuit court rulings overturning  Oklahoma’s  and  Utah’s  bans on same-sex “marriage.” Colorado , which is currently fighting its own battle with the 10 th  Circuit to save its marriage protection law, led the

Lesbian expelled from Christian university after ‘marrying’ her same-sex partner

English: Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) A senior at Oklahoma’s Southwestern Christian University has been expelled after publicizing her same-sex “marriage” on social media, in violation of the university’s “lifestyle covenant.” The covenant, which all students sign upon enrollment, forbids homosexual relationships , sex outside of marriage, and other behaviors the university’s International Pentecostal Holiness denomination considers immoral. Christian Minard, 22, and her girlfriend, Kadyn Park, traveled from their home state of Oklahoma to New Mexico in order to get “married” in March. Same-sex “marriage” is illegal in Oklahoma, so their marriage is not considered valid in their own state. The pair had been dating for more than three years, but university officials were unaware of the relationship until the couple posted photos of their “wedding” – in which Minard played the role of the “groom,” sporting men’s attire and a close-cr

Pro-family leaders defend true marriage against lawsuits in Oklahoma and Michigan

DENVER, CO, February 25, 2014 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – On “The Simpsons,” Helen Lovejoy  frequently cries out , “Won't somebody  please  think of the children?” In Michigan and Oklahoma, that's exactly what pro-family lawsuits are trying to force judges to do – realize how heterosexual couples benefit the next generation. This week, Alliance Defending Freedom   filed a lawsuit  with the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver, Colorado in defense of a Tulsa, Oklahoma County Court Clerk . The clerk, Sally Howe, was sued by two women to whom she refused to issue a marriage license.  Federal judge Terence Kern ruled in favor of the women in January. The "Oklahoma Constitutional Amendment banning same-sex marriage violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment ," he said.  However, Alliance Defending Freedom says children should be raised in homes with parents of different sexes. The state of Oklahoma , which is also appealing Kern's dec

Radical Activist Judges forcing immoral homosexual marriage

U.S. Supreme Court building. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) 2014 has started with a bang... a few days before the end of last year, an activist federal judge in Utah issued a ludicrous decision striking down that state's constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman. He did this despite the Supreme Court ruling last summer (in the  Windsor  case) that clearly upheld a state's right to define and regulate marriage. He also ignored past legal precedent from the Supreme Court defending the legality of state constitutional marriage amendments. Rather than rely on precedent, he engaged in rampant speculation that eventually the U. S. Supreme Court would agree with him to make marriage genderless. Talk about imposing a personal viewpoint contrary to law! Well, in the first few weeks of new year, another activist federal judge in Oklahoma has done the same thing — throwing out Oklahoma's constitutional amendment defending marriage! Th

Holder violates States rights over immoral homosexuality

Indeed, when the history of the marriage debate comes to be written, the events of the beginning of 2014 may become the chapter entitled, "The Same-sex 'Marriage' Lobby's Boldest Overreaching." This chapter begins with a single federal judge... The ruling from District Court Judge Robert Shelby in Utah handed down December 20th was  an unexpected shock   for marriage supporters around the nation. Coming, as it did, hot on the heels of  another federal court decision in Utah  that ruled to de-criminalize religious plural marriages (i.e., polygamous unions), Shelby's ruling added insult to an already injured state legislature and citizenry. Utah's voters and lawmakers alike probably found themselves wondering whether they had any say in their State's values at all anymore. Then came yet another unexpected plot twist. Following failed applications for a stay of Shelby's decision both in the District court and in the 10th Circuit Court of

Bible belt won’t buckle on immoral homosexual marriage

After watching from a distance as the marriage debate ignited out west, Oklahomans were horrified yesterday to see the battle march directly into their backyards. From Tulsa to Tipton, the news dropped like a bombshell, stunning the million-plus voters who'd exercised what they thought was their constitutional right to define marriage. Under the 68-page opinion of a single judge, that right no longer exists for Sooners. Like New Jersey, New Mexico , and Utah before them, Oklahomans are feeling the deep betrayal of a judicial system overrun by political activists. In a country where lawlessness is more contagious than the common cold, U.S. District Judge Terence Kern smothered the votes of 76% of the state and substituted his judgment for that of 1,075,216 Oklahomans. Kern, a Clinton-appointee, even stuck it to the U.S. Supreme Court in his ruling, implying that the justices dodged the hard questions in their June marriage decision. In reality, the Court couldn't have been

‘The majority view…must give way’: Judge strikes down Oklahoma constitutional marriage amendment

Image
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK , January 15, 2014 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The state of Oklahoma approved a state constitutional amendment protecting traditional marriage by a three-to-one margin in 2004. But on Tuesday, a federal judge struck the amendment down, branding it an "arbitrary, irrational exclusion of just one class of Oklahoma citizens  from a governmental benefit ." In a  68-page opinion , U.S. District Judge Terence Kern said the state constitution's definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman “violates the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution .” “Equal protection is at the very heart of our legal system and central to our consent to be governed,” he wrote. In 2004, more than 75 percent of state voters approved Oklahoma Question 711 , which defined marriage as the union of one man and one woman, barred the state from recognizing same-sex “marriages” contracted in other states, and made issuing a marriage
