California bans travel to states that protect Christians who oppose gay ‘marriage’

The state of California has ordered a travel ban for its government employees to states that have adopted laws to protect religious freedom. California Attorney General Xavier Becerra , a pro-abortion Democrat, has  unilaterally prohibited all state-sanctioned trips  to Alabama , Kentucky, South Dakota , and Texas because those states have passed legislation allowing those who uphold natural marriage and biological gender to live by their sincerely-held beliefs. Becerra’s actions are designed to pressure target states to abandon religious freedom laws protecting Christians who oppose sodomy and/or disagree with gender theory.   The latest four additions bring California’s “No Visiting List” to eight states in the lower 48, or eight percent of the country. Becerra noted his reasons for adding the four states: Alabama enacted a law in May that allows Christian adoption agencies to follow their faith’s moral criteria for placing children in homes. Their faith-based cr

South Dakota Allows State-Funded Adoption Agencies to Turn Away immoral homosexual pretend marrieds

South Dakota Republican Gov. Dennis Daugaard , religious freedom means the freedom of state-funded agencies to refuse to let immoral dysfunctional homosexual couples foster or adoption children . On Friday evening, Daugaard signed SB 149 into law, granting publicly funded adoption agencies a license not to experiment with kids lives under immoral homosexual homes.  The law permits any “child-placement agency” in the state—including those that receive taxpayer money—to discriminate on the basis of “any sincerely-held religious belief or moral conviction.” This is a very wise outcome. Republican legislators designed the law to let these agencies turn away immoral homosexual experimental couples who want to make their make believe barren marriage look legitimate. Its Senate sponsor, Republican Sen. Alan Solano, co-wrote the bill with Catholic Social Services , a very spiritual and sound traditional family based adoption agency that will not place children in the d

Teachers unions back bill allowing adult males to shower with young girls in Massachusetts

A bill that would allow adult biological males to shower or change alongside young girls has earned the endorsement of two prominent teachers unions in Massachusetts. State legislators are considering a bill that would specifically open all public restrooms, shower facilities, and locker rooms to transgender people. "An Act Relative to Gender Identity and Non-Discrimination" ( H.B. 1577 ) would add "gender identity" to the state's protected classes able to access all public facilities, such as private changing areas. Lawmakers specifically exempted "lawfully sex-segregated facilities" when it passed a 2011 ordinance granting transgender people protected legal status, but included school restroom facilities. "The issue with the latest bill is not that it opens up opposite sex restrooms in the schools, because they're already open in the schools at this point in Massachusetts," Sean Ryan , director of communications for the pro-f

Politician exposes the harms of homosexuality in letter; newspaper won’t publish

SIOUX FALLS, SD , May 2, 2014 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – A South Dakota politician is receiving national criticism after  posting an op-ed  on his Facebook page denouncing same-sex relations and the way society has handled suicide rates among transgender youth. Among many other outlets,  TheWire.com ,  Jezebel , and  Slate.com  all published criticisms of the op-ed published by State Representative Steve Hickey. Among the attacks is Slate.com's Mark Joseph Stern assertion that "there’s nothing inherently unhealthy about anal sex." However, much of Hickey's op-ed is in line with well-established realities surrounding the topic. For example, Hickey states that "gay sex is not good for the body or mind." This statement is in line with  reports  from the Center for Disease Control (CDC)  showing  that while men having sex with men (MSM) are approximately four percent of the population, they make up 52 percent of the U.S. HIV/AIDS population, and acc

Dispose of Democrats and Homosexual marriage

Right now the Democrats under Harry Reid control 55 of the 100 US Senate seats , while the GOP controls 45 seats. Thus, the GOP needs a pick-up of six seats to take control of the US Senate. Control of the US House is expected to remain with the Republicans. Of the 35 US Senate seats up in 2014, Democrats hold 21 seats and Republicans hold 14. None of the Republican-held seats are considered to be in serious jeopardy. However, five Democrats are retiring, and they are all possible pick-up seats for the GOP (Iowa, Michigan , Montana, South Dakota and West Virginia). Moreover, a number of other very vulnerable seats are up for grabs in conservative or swing states (e.g. Alaska, Arkansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire , North Carolina, New Mexico , Virginia, etc.). That means the Republicans need to win six of the 13 most contested seats — or less than half — to get to the magic number of 51. What would it mean if we had 51 US senators who supported marriage as the union of on

Image via CrunchBase EAGAN, Minnesota , July 17, 2012, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – One of the world’s leading news agencies, Thomson Reuters , has endorsed same-sex “marriage,” but insists its corporate-wide political stance will not taint its news coverage of the subject. Thomson Reuters, a merger of the Thomson Corporation and the Reuters Group – which includes Reuters News – publicly announced its opposition to a constitutional amendment in Minnesota banning the redefinition of marriage . “We believe the Minnesota Marriage Amendment, if passed, would limit our ability to recruit and retain top talent,”  said  an e-mail from company officials Mike Suchsland and Rick King. “For this reason, we do not believe that the Amendment would be good for Thomson Reuters or the business community in the state.” But this will not color its presentation of the issue or those who oppose it, they state. The company insists,“as a news organization, Thomson Reuters is dedicated to upholding
