LGBT loosing favor fast

Image
Stolen from the Bible - the Rainbow  now a wicked symbol of immoral homosexual gay pride. A new report out from GLAAD suggests that there has been something of a retrenchment in comfort with homosexual equality. The immoral sinful gains of the last couple of decades have literally stalled. Homosexual marriage became the the and only goal. Surveys are now showing people are showing a large rise in discomfort in daily situations with LGBT people and their agenda. There has been a profound shift in the tone and substance of the promotion of immoral homosexual rights...they have become demands with threats of court actions and jail. Moving from the false narraitve of homosexuality just being about love to loose your business and or LGBT zealots targetting and seeking to shut down business has had an impact on public opinion. But since Obergefell ? Many saw immoral homosexual marriage as the completed goal and moved on. But homosexuals now realize they may have manipulated the cou

LGBT threats against church, schools, colleges and Christians increase

Image
Christians in America now face a moment of judgment at the hands of a secular culture that grows more intensely adversarial with each passing day. Churches, institutions, and individuals committed to the Christian church’s historic sexual ethic, held consistently over two millennia, now find themselves faced with a stark choice — join the sexual revolution or face the consequences. Those consequences include social marginalization, overt discrimination, the censure from the cultural elites, and worse. Christian colleges and schools are now openly threatened with the loss of tax-exempt status and participation in federal and state student aid. Christian employees in businesses large and small are told to get with the program or get lost. Getting with the program does not mean simply working amiably with all, regardless of sexual orientation. It means openly and enthusiastically celebrating every demand and aim of the LGBT community. Entire professions will soon be closed to many Chri

The unspoken tragedy of the Orlando massacre

Image
In responding to the Orlando massacre at a same-sex nightclub, Bishop Robert Lynch of the Diocese of St. Petersburg found religion, including Catholicism, responsible for the slaughter. He wrote, “sadly it is religion, including our own, which targets, mostly verbally, and also often breeds contempt for gays, lesbians and transgender people.” And he is right that we were wrong; but he is right for the wrong reason. Our contempt was not in words spoken but in those left unsaid. To hold someone in contempt is to look down on him or her as somehow less worthy. It is to judge some as unable to meet basic human standards of behavior, or to doubt that others might be capable of genuine sacrificial love. Many Catholics are guilty of this contempt. This contempt, however, is not rooted in the magisterial teaching of the Church but in the Catholicism practiced and preached by most Catholics, lay and clerical, in the modern Western world. It is the contempt of low expectations, a contemp

Former Australia PM calls for laws to protect those 'tangentially affected' by same-sex marriage

Image
Current PM seeking the LGBT vote by being first Australian PM to participate in a Gay Pride march.  Australia: John Howard has called for conscientious objectors to homosexual marriage to be given legal protection, drawing attention to the prospect the Coalition could legislate to allow people to refuse to provide goods and services to gay weddings, Pastors, clergy, Christian business companies, Christian schools, colleges and hospitals. This list goes one! Howard said the “overwhelming majority” of Liberal MP's would vote in favor of immoral homosexual marriage if that was the result of the plebiscite, even if their personal view was against it. They would then need to resign for violating their conscience. PM Malcolm Turnbull confirmed on Friday MPs would be given a free vote after the plebiscite. Howard said: “I do think one thing that has to be addressed is the question of proper protection of religious freedom, and freedom of conscience in relation to people who might

Former gay activist battles megaphone protest at Sydney University

Image
The University of Sydney logo (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) About 100 students provided a rowdy backdrop to a lunchtime talk by former gay activist-turned-Christian family man James Parker at the Sydney University campus today. The protesters from various groups on campus attempted to disrupt the meeting, held by Sydney University Catholic Society as part of a weeklong series of events on issues concerning life and the human condition. The events come in the same week that the Sydney University Union (USU) backed down on removing faith-based membership clauses for religious societies, including the Catholic Society. The USU Board, in a statement, said it was proposing the establishment of an ongoing “Faith Roundtable” to promote greater interfaith and intercultural understanding. Constant heckling, catcalls and booming megaphone speeches failed to silence Parker, who insisted he loved his brothers and sisters outside the tent just as much as the audience inside the tent. “It’s not

Religious test imposed by the State to flush out anti-gay supporters?

Image
U.S. Supreme Court building. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The state of Kentucky has begun imposing a religious test on volunteer pastor counselors in its youth division, insisting that they refrain from calling homosexuality “sinful” and dismissing those who cannot bend their religious faith to accommodate the state requirements. The policy was uncovered by Liberty Counsel, which has sent a letter to Bob Hayter, commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice , demanding that the state religious test be dropped and that a dismissed counselor be reinstated. “Liberty Counsel writes regarding the blatantly unconstitutional revocation of volunteer prison minister status of ordained Christian minister David Wells , who has provided voluntary spiritual counseling and mentorship to juvenile inmates under the control of the Department of Juvenile Justice. … This revocation was issued by Warren County Regional Juvenile Detention Center on the basis of the April 4, 2014, DJJ

National Surveys Show Decline in Support for Same-sex 'Marriage'

National Surveys Show Decline in Support for Same-sex 'Marriage' We reported last week about the phenomenal change in public opinion concerning the public's support for same-sex 'marriage' as documented by a national survey conducted by the Associated Press/Gfk . The AP/GfK survey found support for SSM down 6 points since April, and opposition up by 4 points — a combined 10 point swing in public opinion. Two other national polls have been released, both showing a similar trend. Ipsos/Reuters found in its most recent survey that 51% of adults support same-sex 'marriage,' down 3 points since April. And the latest Gallup poll showed support for same-sex 'marriage' at 58% with opposition at 40%. As we've pointed out previously , the support number is artificially high due to Gallup's use of the dubious practice of "priming" whereby they ask a leading question designed to elicit support for same-sex couples right before asking about ga

Supreme Court gay marriage with strong opposing views

State bans on same-sex marriage are no longer legal in America, the US Supreme Court ruled 5-4 today. So the question becomes: How will gay rights and religious rights be balanced ? Below is what the justices said in today's majority opinion and four dissents, as well as a summary of related survey data. Essentially, the majority believe the First Amendment gives religious groups and people "proper protection" to "continue to advocate" their beliefs on traditional marriage. But the dissenters are more skeptical, and concerned that "people of faith can take no comfort" in the ruling. "Many who deem same-sex marriage to be wrong reach that conclusion based on decent and honorable religious or philosophical premises," acknowledges Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing for the majority in Obergefell v. Hodges , "and neither they nor their beliefs are disparaged here." He explains that while that "sincere, personal opposition" can

Russell Moore on the Gay Marriage and the future tyranny

The Bible tells us that the king of Israel once wanted to hear from the prophets, as to whether he would be victorious over his enemies. All the court prophets told him exactly what he wanted to hear. Yet the king of Judah, wisely, asked whether there might be another voice to hear from, and Israel’s king said that, yes, there was, but that he hated this prophet “because he never prophesies good concerning me” ( 1 Kings 22:8 ). Once found, this prophet refused to speak the consensus word the king wanted to hear. “As the LORD lives, what the LORD says to me, that I will speak” (1 Kings  22:14 ). And, as it turned out, it was a hard word. When it comes to what people want to hear, the church faces a similar situation as we look to the future of marriage in this country. Many want the sort of prophetic witness that will spin the situation to look favorable, regardless of whether that favor is from the Lord or in touch with reality. Some people want a court of prophets who will tak
