Image via Wikipedia In a recent parliamentary session on a bill relating to sexual offenses against children, psychology experts claimed that pedophilia is a “ sexual orientation ” comparable to homosexuality or heterosexuality, a definition that was questioned by one Member of Parliament who was present.  Bill C-54 , an Act to Amend the Criminal Code , seeks to increase or impose mandatory minimum penalties or punishment on sexual offenders of children for particular crimes. In February 2008, Eunice and Owen Johns of Derby filed suit against Derby City Council when they were refused for fostering because they said they would not talk to children about homosexuality as though it were an acceptable “lifestyle,” and that they would insist that children in their care accompany the family to church on Sundays. In November 2010 both parties jointly asked the Court to rule on whether the Johns were able to foster children, or whether they could be excluded from doing so under equality law because of their Christian beliefs . The momentum toward the full legalization of same-sex marriage seems to intensify with every passing month — or even faster.  The moral divide is now seen most clearly in the distance between those for whom marriage is exclusively heterosexual and thus a settled issue and, on the other hand, those who honestly see the legalization of same-sex marriage as a moral mandate required by justice . Given the venerable status of marriage and its universally established heterosexual character — at least until very recently — the burden of argument falls on the need to explain how such a movement for a moral revolution gained credibility, cultural mass, and momentum.  How did this happen? A culture does not consist only of ideas and ideologies, but no culture exists without them. Given the complexity of any culture, a comprehensive map of these ideas, moral intuitions, and philosophies is impossible to create.  N

Image via Wikipedia The city of Chicago ordered its police force not to enforce the law against a mob of homosexualist activists who disrupted Mass at the Holy Name Cathedral to protest “anti-gay bigots” who support the Church’s teaching on marriage. The Gay Liberation Network staged the rally on the eve of Valentine’s Day, shouting and chanting loudly as churchgoers entered to celebrate Sunday Mass . The demonstration’s primary target was Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, who has spoken out in defense of traditional marriage between a man and a woman. Protesters had staged a similar disruption around the same time last year. In response to the protest, George, who was not present at the cathedral, acknowledged that the issue is deeply emotional on both sides but, “No matter the issue, Catholics should be able to worship in peace, without fear of harassment.” The  National Organization for Marriage  (NOM) released a video of the protest showing rainbow flag-waving protesters

Image via Wikipedia Despite the aspirations of major presidential candidates to legalize abortion and homosexual ‘marriage’ in Peru , the vast majority of Peruvians say they are opposed to both ideas, according to a new poll. More than three quarters of Peruvians, 76.3%, said they were opposed to the legalization of abortion, and only 17.4% said they support it. Another 6.3% said that they either didn’t know or had no opinion. Asked if they were “in favor or against civil unions among homosexuals ,” 69.5% answered in the negative, and only 20.8% in the affirmative.  The numbers were even more unfavorable for homosexual ‘marriage’: 74.7% were opposed, and only 14% were in favor. Although both sexes overwhelmingly rejected both the killing of unborn children and the legal endorsement of homosexual behavior, women were 3.3% more likely to oppose abortion than men, while men were 8.3% more likely to oppose homosexual “marriage” than women. Image via Wikipedia Claiming gay-straight alliance clubs are essential for “safe schools”, homosexual groups have pressured Ontario’s Catholic schools in the last month to jump on the GSA bandwagon. All stakeholders seem to indicate that they want to protect students from bullying. At the same time, many question whether the “safe school” claim is merely a cover for using the schools to promote widespread acceptance of homosexuality. There is substantial evidence to indicate that the charge is probably valid. One clue would be that Canada’s online hotspot for GSAs -  MyGSA.ca - the one such resource linked by the Toronto District School Board , is run by Egale - Canada ’s leading homosexual activist group.  GSAs are also  promoted  by Planned Parenthood’s Canadian Federation for Sexual Health.
