Just days after Brebeuf Jesuit High School  defied Archbishop Charles Thompson’s  decree stripping its Catholic identity, another Catholic high school in Indianapolis has acknowledged his authority and will “separate” from a teacher in a fake marriage or homosexual “marriage.” On Sunday, Cathedral High School announced that it would part ways with a teacher in a “public, same-sex marriage” out of concern that defying Archbishop Thompson’s decree could cost its nonprofit status and having Masses celebrated on campus.  A letter from the school’s board of directors  said its “agonizing decision” came after nearly two years of “earnest discussion and extensive dialogue with the Archdiocese” about the school’s “continued Catholic identity.” Noting that Archbishop Thompson has “responsibility to oversee faith and morals as related to Catholic identity,” the letter said he made it clear that keeping a teacher who is in a “public, same-sex marriage” would mean losing the school’s Catho

Image via Wikipedia Support for same-sex “marriage” and civil unions runs high among the Catholic population, even claiming the majority of Catholics who attend Mass weekly, according to a poll released this month. The survey by the Public Religion Research Institute ( PRRI )  found  that Catholics surpass other Christians and even the general public in their support for homosexual unions, both as “marriage” and other marriage-like unions recognized by the state. The results among Catholics were broken down among those who attend Mass weekly or more (38 percent of Catholics), once or twice per month (20 percent), or less often (41 percent). Support for same-sex “marriage” was far higher among the last group with 59 percent support, and only 16 percent against all types of homosexual unions. Image via Wikipedia Top ‘gay-rights’ groups claiming to represent Christians and Catholics, and at least one Jesuit-run college, are being funded by a major homosexualist business magnate with the aim of stirring up dissent within the ranks of the church. In a  recent article  Thomas Peters, Cultural Director for the National Organization for Marriage and founder of the American Papist blog, revealed the funding sources of various groups that promote acceptance of homosexuality under the guise of representing concerned members of the Judaeo-Christian community. Groups such as New Ways Ministry , a top group recently  condemned by the U.S. Catholic bishops, have received large sums from the Arcus Foundation for the purpose of promoting same-sex “marriage” specifically among Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopalians, and Jews.
