A federal appeals court has ordered Christian clerk Kim Davis to provide same-sex “marriage” licenses, but she’s refusing to give in. Davis, a Democrat,  says that her Christian beliefs  will not allow her to issue licenses for same-sex “marriages.” Despite pressure from Democrat Gov. Steve Beshear ,  a lawsuit from the ACLU , and two federal court rulings, Davis has refused to issue any licenses while the matter is still working its way through the courts. However, the Sixth District Court of Appeals said Davis must issue the licenses. While critics say Davis must follow the law as a public employee, she says the First Amendment protects her decision even as a government worker. Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear Gov. Steve Beshear, who is a Democrat, disagreed sharply with the decision of Conway to not defend the state's 1998 law and 2004 constitutional amendment. He has a contract to pay as much as $100,000 to the law firm.  Conway, who said he could not in good conscience defend the state law,  said he believed  “we cannot waste the resources of

LEEDS, United Kingdom , May 4, 2011 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The UK’s First-Tier Tribunal of the Charity Commission rejected an appeal last week by Catholic Care, the last Catholic adoption agency in the country, to change its constitution to exclude homosexuals from adopting children . Catholic Care’s fight with the law has been ongoing since the passage of the Sexual Orientations Regulations in 2007.   Eleven Catholic adoption agencies chose to fight that law, which prohibited “discrimination” based upon sexual orientation; however, all but Catholic Care have now either closed their doors or severed ties with the Catholic Church. Following  a ruling  by the Charity Commission last summer, rejecting their proposed amendments, Catholic Care filed an appeal in September 2010 arguing that the amendment to their constitution was in fact justified by a provision in the Equality Act 2010 that allows a charitable organization to restrict benefits if it is “a proportionate means of achiev
