London police issue new ‘hate crime’ guidelines: evidence of ‘hate’ is ‘not a requirement’

Image
The London Metropolitan Police released new  guidelines  for defining “hate crimes” within their jurisdiction, and their broadness has sparked renewed fear over authorities crossing the line from policing crimes to persecuting thought. The guidelines state that hate crimes motivated by “disability, gender identity , race, sexual orientation, religion, or any other perceived difference” need not be physical crimes in the traditional sense, but may include “using offensive language” about “who you are,” whether spoken in person or posted online. Moreover, the guidelines do not state objective criteria for determining whether “prejudice” motivated an action. It need only be simply “perceived” as such by the victim, a third party, or a police officer. In fact, the police expressly declare that “[e]vidence of the hate element is not a requirement.” In addition to straightforward examples of criminal conduct, such as physical assault or incitement to violence, the guidelines de

UK government cracking down on ‘homophobic, transphobic’ social media posts

A top prosecutor for the British government warned in a new article that it will crack down on "online hate crime " committed by "those in the UK who hold extreme views" on "sexuality" and "gender." Alison Saunders , director of public prosecutions for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) , wrote in The Guardian , "whether shouted or tweeted, prejudice devastates lives." Policing Internet speech could be one solution for the questions of "how societies might do more to prevent such opinions from gestating in the first place," Saunders wrote. "An increasing proportion of hate crime is now perpetrated" online, wrote Saunders. CPS "commits to treat online hate crimes as seriously as those committed face to face." A follow-up article in The Guardian said CPS has a new policy that will "cover different strands of hate crime: racist and religious; disability; and homophobic, biphobic and transphobic . T

Scotland trains 60 policemen to fight LGBT hate crime

Image
Scottish police and homosexual advocacy groups are combining to train 60 officers as LGBT - hate crime specialists in an apparent effort to increase the number of hate crimes reported.  The move has raised concerns over the possible criminalization of any criticism of homosexuality. Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality told LifeSiteNews, "Everyone is against hate and violence against homosexuals or anybody else. But are they setting up a politically correct hierarchy of victims with homosexuals at the top?" According to the Equality Network , which will be training LGBT liaison officers for the Scottish police, there were 841 "sexual orientation aggravate crimes" in 2015 and 21 "transphobic" crimes. The press release adds, "there is said to be evidence of significant under-reporting." In evidence, the charity reports on a survey of LGBT Scots indicating that half had seen or been victims of "prejudice or di

Iowa Senate passes law granting hate crime protections based on gender identity

Image
A divisive party line vote of 27-21 in the Iowa Senate added gender self-identity or "expression" to an anti-discrimination hate crimes list. The   legislation  punishes the offender with financial penalties for "injunctive relief, general and special damages, reasonable attorneys fees, and costs." The bill also criminalizes any offense against someone because of his or her association with a transgender or transsexual individual. "When states like Iowa attempt to add gender identity and gender expression to its Hate Crime statutes, it only demonstrates that lunacy prevails in the secular progressive movement," Jen Wozniak of   the American Family Association   (AFA) told LifeSiteNews in an email.  "The sexual anarchists among us insist that there is no difference between male and female, and they also insist we agree with them – or else." All 26 Democrats voted for the bill, with Republican Sen. Charles Schneider (West Des Moines)

Lesbian admits she faked anti-gay ‘hate crime’ to get out of doing her homework

Image
SAN FRANCISCO, CA , May 6, 2014 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – A woman who claimed to be the victim of an anti-gay “ hate crime ” in 2004  has admitted  she faked the incident because she had not done her homework. Mary (no last name was given in the interview), who in 2004 caused a tumult in her California town when bigoted remarks appeared on her locker, told Buzzfeed 's Sandra Allen that she faked it all because "I hadn’t done" homework assigned at least a week earlier. "None of it. Hadn’t read anything, hadn’t done the notes. I don’t remember what the assignment was, but it was something that we had a week or two to do and I hadn’t done any of it.” “So I broke into the locker room and I graffitied my locker," she said. According to Mary, "The first or second period of the day, they called me out of the office. They said, ‘You can go home if you want to.’ I was like,  Sweet . I went home and did my homework.” Things progressed. At one point, Mary claim

The pro-homosexual media play gays as victims

From Amazon.com I f I had been asked to give an account of the Matthew Shepard incident a week ago, my answer would have gone something like this: over ten years ago in some hick town of middle America a young innocent gay student was tortured and left to die crucified on a fence.  His assailants were two intolerant rednecks incapable of dealing with the uncomfortable presence and activities of people like Shepard in their town. Then last week I downloaded  The Book of Matt: Hidden Truths about the Murder of Matthew Shepard   by Stephen Jimenez.  Everything I thought I knew about the case flew out of the window.  Jimenez is an openly gay journalist who went to Laramie , Wyo to research information for a potential production on Matthew Shepard.  During his research he came across information that contradicted all he thought he knew about the story.   After ten years of honestly digging for the truth he gives us a new understanding of the events.  Some key points: S

Is opposition to homosexual marriage hate speech?

Image
This assertion is utter nonsense, but unfortunately it carries the force of law in some countries that have adopted same-sex marriage. In fact, speech codes and “hate-crime” legislation seem to follow the approval of same-sex marriage. In Canada and Sweden, for example, speech is already restricted against homosexuality to the point that even pastors have been fined or jailed for quoting Bible verses ! 73   In the United States , Democrats continually put forth “hate-crime” legislation which may lead to the same result. 74 Why do advocates of “hate-crime” legislation ignore the fact that  all  crimes are “hate” crimes (there are certainly no “love” crimes)? And why do they ignore the fact that  all  people—including homosexuals—are already protected equally under existing criminal law?  Perhaps it’s because they are not really concerned with equal protection, fairness, or truth—they seek special protection because it will validate homosexual behavior. In other words, hate-crime legi

Transsexual male demands to use female shopping centre toilet

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) EDINBURGH, August 27, 2013 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – An 18-year-old “transsexual” man in Edinburgh is filing hate crime charges against a shopping centre guard after being told that he could not use women’s lavatories. The Daily Record reported that the young man, River Song , whom the paper referred to as a “woman waiting for a sex-change ,” complained to police on Monday when a security guard at St. James shopping centre allegedly told him, “You are a male and always will be.” Describing the incident, Song said, “He pulled me aside and asked if I’d had a sex change. I couldn’t quite believe what I was hearing but I answered him, saying no. “He then asked me, ‘Why have you used the female bathrooms if you haven’t had a sex change?’ He asked for my ID, which I showed him. As he glanced at it, he said, ‘This is a male. You are a male and always will be a male.
