‘No to Euro gay values’: Russian police and citizens stop homosexual ‘pride’ parade for tenth year in a row

Image
Moscow continued their long-standing resistance to homosexual ideology this year, stopping an unauthorized “gay pride” parade in the center of their city and arresting participants, according to reports in local and international media. Despite being refused a permit for the tenth year in a row, parade organizers attempted to carry out a demonstration on Tverskaya Street , just across from the mayor's office, but were foiled by pro-family counter-protesters and police, who descended upon them in large numbers to interrupt the illegal event. Two protesters who let off orange smoke from a quad bike sporting a rainbow-covered flag were accosted by counter-protesters and beaten, then arrested by police. Another group displayed a rainbow flag with the words “ Make love not war ,” were also stopped by a group of counter-protesters before police took away the flag, according to Reuters. Moscow authorities detained an estimated 20 people in all, representing both points of view.

European court: Gay marriage is not a human right

European human rights law does not require countries to “grant access to marriage to same-sex couples,” according to a judgment of the European Court of Human Rights in a case that tests the remote boundaries of possibility in law and fact. The parties to the litigation and supporters of same-sex marriage acknowledge the result was predictable. Nevertheless the judgment has a devastating effect on gay rights in Europe, dashing hopes that same-sex “marriage” can become a reality there. The facts of the case are distinctive. Heli Hämäläinen of Finland had a sex change operation in 2009 to appear anatomically as a

Gay ‘marriage’ not a right, prohibiting gay adoption not ‘discrimination’: European Court

Image
March 16, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - The European Court of Human Rights has ruled that the prohibition of adoption to non- married couples is not discriminatory, because it applies to both heterosexual and homosexual couples equally. It has also ruled that homosexual “marriage” is not a right under the European Convention on Human Rights . The European Court of Human Rights The decision effectively confirms the liceity under the same Convention of French law , which does not award the status of “marriage” to homosexual couples, and does not permit non-married couples to adopt children. The ruling was announced yesterday in a suit by a French lesbian couple, Valérie Gas and Nathalie Dubois, who have been in a Pact of Civil Solidarity ( PACS ) since 2002.  A PACS is a loose contractual arrangement made available to both heterosexual and homosexual couples in France, in contrast with stronger “civil union” arrangements and homosexual “marriages” available in some other countries.  Du

Anyone challenging the homosexualist agenda in public in Sweden can be sent to prison, and the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled that this does not constitute any violation of rights. In 2004, the Swedish government charged a group of pamphleteers with “agitation against a national or ethnic group ,” a crime that carries a maximum penalty of 2 years in prison. The four appealed to the ECHR, which  ruled  on February 9th that their application was “manifestly ill-founded”. The court said that the conviction constituted no violation of Article 10 ( Freedom of Expression ) of the European Convention on Human Rights . It was a “legitimate and proportional interference” with the applicant

Homosexuality is an abomination is not homophobia

Image
Image via Wikipedia The Irish High Court today overturned a decision by the Belfast Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) that banned a Belfast Christian church ’s ad on account of “homophobia.” The ad, published by Sandown Free Presbyterian Church in August 2008, was banned by the ASA for stating that sodomy is a “grave offense” to Christians and quoting such Biblical passages as Leviticus 18:22.   The church’s full-page ad was published immediately prior to a gay pride march and in response to the previous year’s march, in which a banner was carried that said, “Jesus is a fag.” The ASA said the ad was “forceful, confrontational, and threatening to a section of the community.”  After receiving seven complaints that the ad was homophobic, the ASA determined the church could not advertise in that form. Sandown church challenged the ban in September 2009 and today won their case. In his ruling on the case, High Court Justice Treacy said the context of the ad was important in c

Bed and Breakfast owners fined for turning away gay couple

It is illegal in Britain for guesthouse keepers to refuse to allow two homosexual men to share a bed in their homes, according to a ruling by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) in a test case sponsored by the country’s leading homosexualist lobby group. Peter and Hazelmary Bull, devout Christians who own a guesthouse in a popular holiday resort in Cornwall, were ordered by the EHRC to pay a fine of £1,800 each to Martyn Hall and Steven Preddy, two men who had booked a room in September 2008. The Bulls explained to the Commission that they have a long-standing policy of refusing double rooms to any unmarried couple, no matter what their “orientation,” at the Chymorvah Private Hotel in Marazion near Penzance. Mrs. Bull commented after the hearing, saying she and her husband were “disappointed” with the result. “Our double-bed policy was based on our sincere beliefs about marriage, not hostility to anybody. It was applied equally and consistently to unmarried heterosex
