Start speaking out: Against LGBT Homosexual agenda

Decide Whether You are with God or Against Him … on the issue of homosexualism (out-and-proud homosexuality as a “civil right”) and sexual sin in general. These days there is no shortage of Secular- and Religious Left activists — and even self-professed “evangelical Christian” sellouts like apostate Jay Bakker — who will tell you that the Bible is ambiguous on homosexuality or even pro-homosexual. Nevertheless, the Word of God is crystal clear on this subject (see Romans 1 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 , for starters). No faithful Christian can make a “biblical” case for accepting homosexual behavior. Thankfully, Jesus Christ has helped many men [e.g., Dan Hitz] and women [e.g., Anne Paulk ] overcome homosexual attractions (see Point 4 below). Two great websites refuting “gay Christianity” are Prof. Robert Gagnon’s at www.RobGagnon.net and (former homosexual) DL Foster’s “Gay Christian Movement Watch” at http://www.gcmwatch.com . Apply the “Sexual Sin Substitution Test” (S3T) : if y

The sin of Mormonism is adding to the Bible?

A bible from 1859. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book." ( Revelation  22:18 )   This sober warning almost at the end of the Bible was given by the glorified Lord Jesus Himself (note v. 20), so should be taken very seriously.   The Bible is not just a great book. It is  The Book ! Its content had been "for ever . . . settled in heaven" ( Psalm 119:89 ) but had been gradually transmitted to men on Earth through God-called prophets, whose writings were "given by inspiration of God"—that is, literally "God-breathed" ( 2 Timothy  3:16 ). "God . . . at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets" ( Hebrews 1:1 ).   In various ways—sometimes by direct dictation, more often by Spirit-guided research and medit

Healing for homosexuals who come to Christ

One of the sweet advantages of insisting that there is no such thing as same-sex “marriage” is that there is therefore also no such thing as same-sex “divorce.” In the days ahead, this will be very good news for many who repent . In the years to come, God will be merciful on thousands of those who have been damaged by the present moral madness of our culture. He will exalt Christ in the conversion of many who have lived in same-sex relationships. More complexities than we can imagine will be presented to us in the church. One of the more difficult scenarios will be what the church should do when, say, two women, who have lived in a so-called married state for some years, are converted to Christ, repent of their sin, and want to join the church. And what if they have children? In this uncharted territory, here is a map with some of the biblical guideposts I foresee. It is not exhaustive. I invite every pastor to pray that God would grant him the great privilege of leading new believe

Forgiveness for the sin of homosexuality

Image
"Homosexuality & the Bible" booklet (Photo credit: Fellowship of Reconciliation ) “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Gen. 1:27). It is all too easy to come across as “holier-than-thou” when we condemn sexual sin . Yet no person merits forgiveness (Eph. 2:4–7), and we sin if we portray ourselves as guiltless, explicitly or implicitly, or think we are less deserving of wrath than others (Luke 18:9–14). As ambassadors of Christ, we are called to extend love and the hope of restoration to all people. His Great Commission does not send us to some transgressors and not others; we are to preach the Gospel to all people (Matt. 28:18–20). Our Father can free those in bondage to homosexuality just as He frees other sinners. We must love those enslaved to homosexuality and seek their redemption. True love in this case involves calling homosexual behavior a sin. We may be ostracized when we do this, bu
