According to the  legal brief  opposing California's Proposition 8 , the “overwhelming expert consensus,” which is “supported by numerous scientific studies,” is “that children raised by gay and lesbian parents are as likely to be well adjusted as children raised by heterosexual parents.” “The weight of the scientific literature strongly supports the view that same-sex parents are just as capable as opposite-sex parents,” the Obama administration stated. The  amicus  cites a number of studies, as well as policy statements from the  American Academy of Pediatrics , th

Journal of Health and Social Behavior (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) LANSING, MI , February 28, 2013, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – A new study has found that gay and lesbian couples are less likely to be healthy than heterosexual couples, a finding that confirms traditional claims that homosexuality is an unhealthy lifestyle. This study, published in the  Journal of Health and Social Behavior ,  found the starkest of contrasts when it narrowed its focus to homosexual couples living together as contrasted with married heterosexual couples. It found that same-sex cohabiting men were 61 percent more likely to report “poor or fair health” than an equitable number of men reporting from heterosexual marriages. Same-sex cohabitating women were 46 percent more likely to report the same when compared to heterosexual married women. Indeed, black women in a lesbian relationship were likely to report being less healthy than single, divorced, and widowed black women. These results held afte

The legal document asserts that homosexuals deserve the “full benefits” and “social recognition conferred by the institution of marriage .” Lawyers in the Obama administration 's Justice Department filed an amicus curiae in the lawsuit Hollingsworth v. Perry. Today was the deadline for the administration to intervene. The amicus brief calls for Justices to judge the California state constitutional amendment protecting marriage under “heightened scrutiny” on similar grounds to those it laid out against the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA). The bill is part of the country's criminal code reform currently being undertaken in the National Congress , according to members of Brazil 's newly-formed National Association of Evangelical Jurist (ANAJURE). "Every criticsm of homosexual behavior would be prohibited, even in churches," warned ANAJURE founding member Jean Regina, an attorney from the state of Rio Grande do Sul , in a video interview with LifeSiteNews.com's Latin America correspondent Matthew Hoffman. In addition, the proposed penal code reform and other proposed measures currently would eliminate protections for the unborn and legalize prostitution. Bahamas Baptist bishop: Strong, loving families 'last bastion against homosexual avalanche'

NASSAU, February 28, 2013, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - A Baptist bishop says the best way to avert the growing homosexual subculture in the Bahamas is to promote and encourage stable, natural families. Bishop Simeon Hall, the senior pastor of New Covenant Baptist Church in Nassau and former president of the Bahamas Christian Council, said that spousal abuse, incest, and rape in families have irreversible negative effects on children and weaken families, contributing to the growth of a lesbian and homosexual community in the Bahamas. Bishop Hall said he believes that, although some persons choose a lesbian or homosexual lifestyle, "some studies show that most practicing homosexuals come from dysfunctional families ." "We must, in imitation of Christ, reach out with love to those persons chained to this lifestyle," the answer to the "homosexual avalanche" lies in promoting faithful marriages of one man to one woman, strenthening and supporti

Homosexual Thought Police are coming to your church!

Many Christians and pro-family advocates were disappointed to learn that New York Jets QB  Tim Tebow  had backed out of a scheduled speaking engagement at the  First Baptist Church  in Dallas – following an online lobbying blitz by homosexual activists urging him to cancel because the church’s pastor is “anti-gay.” Last Thursday, Tebow  tweeted  that he was pulling out of the April 28 appearance with First Baptist  Pastor Robert Jeffress  “due to new information that has been brought to my attention.” A conflicted Tebow reportedly told the Texas pastor that he would like to speak at the Dallas mega-church at some point in the future, but “he needed to avoid controversy right now for personal and professional reasons,” the liberal  Daily Beast reported. The  Daily Beast  article is gratuitously headlined: “Tim Tebow’s ‘Hate’ Pastor Responds to Quarterback’s Withdrawal.” Turns out that Jeffress not only preaches that homosexual behavior is a sin — he also opposes Mormonism and
