The bishop’s strong comments as the European Court of Human Rights has ruled that there is no such thing as a “right” to “gay marriage” in the European Convention on Human Rights , a revelation that has yet to put a damper on the UK government ’s enthusiasm for changing the legal definition of marriage. “It is certainly not the role of law to recreate our society according to passing fashions and ideologies, nor to redefine nature whether in terms of persons and their rights or its natural institutions,” Archbishop Conti said in a homily at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Edinburgh this weekend. The prelate said that current plans to alter the definition of marriage, promoted by the Conservative government of David Ca

The vote, with approximately 30 percent turnout, was 54.77 per cent to 44.23 per cent, overturning a law that was passed by the country’s National Assembly last June. Slovenian President Danilo Turk told AFP that such decisions should not be left up to the public, and complained that submitting the law to a public vote had undermined the authority of the National Assembly. Slovenian President Danilo Turk “The Code is good and could have entered into force immediately. For the sake of the legislature’s authority, it would be better to have laws implemented and not contested on referendums

(Photo credit: Wikipedia ) ROME, March 27, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – Cardinal Carlo Martini, who at the conclave of 2005 was a favorite of ‘social justice’ Catholics to be elected Pope, has penned a book wherein he supports homosexual relationships.  The powerful Cardinal who was Archbishop of Milan until his retirement in 2002 at age 75, now lives in Jerusalem and suffers from Parkinson’s disease . Given Cardinal Martini ’s prominence in the Catholic Church (some sources suggest that he had quite a few votes to become Pope in the 2005 conclave) his statements on homosexuality point to a powerful counter-ideology that has made significant inroads into the Church’s teaching on the matter of homosexuality.  It is an ideology or theology that was warned about already in 1986 by Martini’s contemporary Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, now Pope Benedict XVI . Dump Starbucks

Rainbow flag. Symbol of gay pride. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) We are urging customers across the globe to 'Dump Starbucks ' because it has taken a corporate-wide position that the definition of marriage between one man and one woman should be eliminated and that same-sex marriage should become equally 'normal'. As such, Starbucks has deeply offended at least half its US customers, and the vast majority of its international customers. On January 12th, 2012, Starbucks issued a memorandum declaring that same-sex marriage 'is core to who we are and what we value as a company. Starbucks also used its resources to participate in a legal case seeking to overturn a federal law declaring marriage as the union of one man and one woman. In many areas of the world where Starbucks does business, the concept of 'gay marriage' is unheard of and deeply offensive to cultural, moral and religious values. In taking these actions, Starbucks has declared a culture war on a

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA , March 22, 2012, ( LifeSiteNews.com ) – The Archdiocese of Los Angeles ’  Religious Education Congress  bills itself as an “opportunity to hear God ’s voice in their own lives.” However, some of the  featured speakers  at the March 22-25 event, said to be the largest of its kind in the world, have described Barack Obama as “ pro-life ,” longed for “public models of gay priests,” opposed marriage protection legislation, and encouraged children to engage in “genital self-touch.” Neither  Tod M. When LifeSiteNews called to follow-up, Tamberg insisted he did not receive the e-mail, then hung up on us. When asked about the e-mail, which was sent Thursday morning, Tamberg said rapidly: “Didn’t get any e-mails. Um, didn’
