GAY TRUTH

I just finished reading Gregory Coles’ moving memoir Single Gay Christian: A Personal Journey of Faith and Sexual Identity (IVP, 2017). In many ways, there is much to admire about this book. Coles is a great writer and has put together a real page-turner. This is not a boring book. Coles’ honesty and vulnerability come through in just about every page. Coles is telling his own story—warts and all—and he’s gut-wrenchingly honest about his emerging awareness of himself as a same-sex attracted man. Coles’s story is a very human story, and just about anyone (same-sex attracted or not) can resonate with the humor and the pathos that he narrates. By the end of it, you feel like you know the man. And this is a man who embraces the Bible’s prohibitions on same-sex immorality. Because of that, he has dedicated himself to a life of celibacy out of faithfulness to Christ. Will you be able to sue someone for not calling you Mr, Ms or X? So yes, we are now in stupid land . Tasmania’s anti-discrimination laws could leave people open to legal action.  University of Notre Dame senior lecturer Greg Walsh says  "The proposed changes to anti-discrimination legislation would add the term “gender expression” into the act, which is defined as including “personal references that manifest or express gender or gender identity.  This could make it illegal for a person to not accept a transgender person’s gender identity, such as by declining to use their preferred personal pronoun,” Dr Walsh said. We've already seen how this has wreaked havoc in the USA. The wreckage is coming to your workplace.

A group of over 500 Catholic priests and deacons in Great Britain are saying the advance of ‘gender ideology ’ has become “impossible to ignore,” and they wish to give guidance to clergy and laity on how to respond to it. “As Catholic priests and deacons we commit ourselves to proclaiming Catholic teaching in this area and to ministering with pastoral charity to those most effected,” they said. In a statement issued on Thursday, the British Confraternity of Catholic Clergy said that “increasingly” they are meeting individuals in their parishes who are “unable to accept the sex in which they were born” and often believe they “must ‘change’ their sex in order to find happiness.” Those who suggest they cannot change their sex are “immediately met with charges of hatred and bigotry,” they observed. This article has appeared in the BT newspaper . In all honesty, the reader should notice this statement: " I am gay - a Christian - a Protestant and a politician." You need to ask yourself some questions before reading this article: Do politicians bend the truth?  Some do some don't. But often they have an agenda. Is this person really a Christian or a liberal Protestant who doesn't believer her Bible or is this person lying and making a false claim?  Is she deluded, making statement to cloud the issue? What is the basis of her claim? Herself?  Perhaps this person genuinely believes God approves of her sin or God doesn't care or believes homosexuality is not a sin and the Apostle Paul was incorrect. Either way, Romans 1 clearly tells us that Gods judgement on homosexuality is one of total abandonment regardless of what a person claims. Do man-made human rights like homosexuality over rule God's commandments? ...................................
