Leaders of the LGBT community have largely abandoned any attempt to rationalize or debate their agenda. Rather, they seek to impose it through intimidation and shaming, and the exercise of raw political power. They are determined to use this power to shut down organizations and groups that help people wishing to leave the LGBT lifestyle, and they want to shut down any attempt to oppose the imposition of their gender ideology. There are a number of groups in the country, many of them Christian ministries, that work to help members of the LGBT community to leave that lifestyle. IKEA is being sued by a former employee who claims he was fired for refusing to take down anti-gay comments from the company's intranet. On May 16, International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, the Swedish furniture maker posted an article on its internal website, underscoring support for the LGBT community. The post also encouraged employees to ask customers what pronoun they preferred and engage in conversations with LGBT customers about their partners and families. That didn't sit right with at least one employee in Warsaw, identified only as Tomasz K. He told Polish state broadcaster TVP Info, "I've been hired to sell furniture but I'm a Catholic and these aren't my values." Tomasz posted a comment to the article, reportedly writing that "acceptance and promotion of homosexuality and other deviations is a source of scandal." In the UK a court ruled that comments which expressed opposition to same-sex marriage did not fall into the category of punishable “hate speech”. In Smith v Trafford Housing Trust [2012] EWHC 3221 (Ch) (16 November 2012) Mr Smith, a council officer, had expressed some concern on Facebook about same-sex marriage being conducted in churches. A colleague, who had asked him to explain his views further, took offence at what he said. The result was, as the court said at para [5]: For making those two comments Mr Smith was suspended from work, on full pay, on 17 February, made the subject of a disciplinary investigation and then disciplinary proceedings leading to a hearing on 8 March, at the end of which he was told that he had been guilty of gross misconduct for which he deserved to be dismissed. Fifty angry Christians picketed UNICEF 's office near the UN during the just-completed Commission on the Status of Women , a UN conference where pro-lifers won a major victory. The complaint against UNICEF is that the UN children's agency joined a global campaign to promote "comprehensive sexuality education" that critics say promotes controversial ideas for children like abortion, masturbation, and homosexuality. UNICEF, that has long come under criticism from social conservatives, signed onto something called "International Technical Guidance on Sexuality Education " that calls for children to be able to "describe male and female responses to sexual stimulation," and "summarize key elements of sexual pleasure." Even Tony Abbott did it, telling parliament on 7th December, ‘I congratulate the Yes campaign for its victory’ as if the debate about same-sex marriage was a cricket match, not a profound struggle for our families and freedoms. The United Methodist Church ’s highest court has ruled that the consecration of its first openly gay bishop violated church law , compounding a bitter rift over the sin of homosexuality that has brought the 13-million-member denomination to the brink of schism. A survey of 6,700 faith-driven consumers revealed that 95 percent of them are less likely to see  Disney 's  Beauty and the Beast  remake due to its gay content. The group   Faith-Driven Consumer released these results   along with other data about how Christians view the Disney brand in light of the announcement that  Beauty and the Beast  will contain an " exclusively gay moment ." This moment occurs between the male characters  Gaston and his manservant Le Fou.   Le Fou is sexually attracted to Gaston . The survey was conducted by American Insights. It polled members of the "FDC community" online.
