Record number of GOP candidates for Congress back gay ‘marriage’: report

This week, National Journal reported that 11 Republicans running to represent their states and districts on Capitol Hill support same-sex "marriage," as do three incumbents not running in 2014. Six of the 11 candidates are incumbents, while the rest are challengers. Andrea Lafferty of the Traditional Values Coalition told LifeSiteNews that while the number of GOP candidates and incumbents has grown in recent years, perspective is necessary. "Let's keep in mind there are currently 233 Members of the House and 45 Senators who are Republican," she said. The FDA had determined this was necessary after a rash of innocent people received HIV infections via blood transfusions. Many other countries, such as Canada, also have instituted those restrictions. The reasons are clear. As the  National Journal  observed this week: Men who have sex with other men, including gay and bisexual men, have an HIV infection rate 60 times higher than that of the general population, the FDA says.
