Spanish pro-family group wins court battles in fight against transgender ideology

Image
The Autono mous Community of Madrid, which governs Spain’s capital and immediately surrounding region, has been ordered by a court to repay fines levied against a civic group for distributing pro-family materials in schools. In 2017, the local government of Madrid fined HazteOir.org 1,500 euros for having distributed to 1,709 schools a booklet criticizing LGBTQ regulations that had been supported across the political spectrum, including by the right-of-center pro-business Popular Party.  Critics contend that the “gag rule” regulations not only violate fundamental rights, such as free speech but also usurp the power of judges by sanctioning with administrative fines levied upon those expressing opinions deemed offensive. Local authorities had imposed the fine on HazteOir.org without taking recourse to the courts. The Administrative Law Court of Madrid  issued a ruling in June  that called on local authorities in Madrid to repay the 1,500 euros in fines paid by HazTeOir.org for

Thai surrogate loses custody of baby to foreign same-sex couple

Image
Gay Couple with child (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) A same-sex couple has won a custody battle with a surrogate mother after she refused to sign documents allowing the baby to obtain a passport and leave the country with them.  Bangkok’s Juvenile and Family Court ruled on Tuesday that American Gordon Lake, baby Carmen ’s biological father , is her legal guardian.  Carmen’s biological mother was an anonymous egg donor. Carmen’s surrogate mother, Patidta Kusolsang, gave Carmen to Lake and his “husband” Manuel Santos Valero after she was born.  She then changed her mind and refused to sign documents allowing baby Carmen to obtain a passport, which would have allowed her to leave the country with Lake and Santos Valero. The gay couple took Kusolsang to court, arguing that Carmen, who was born over a year ago, has the right to be raised by her biological father.  The Bangkok Post reported in May 2015   that Lake and Santos Valero were in hiding with baby Carmen and an older baby

Spanish prosecutor to investigate Cardinal-elect for calling homosexuality ‘defective’

Image
MADRID, Spain , February 7, 2014  A Spanish prosecutor has agreed to investigate Cardinal -elect Fernando Sebastian Aguilar after a national homosexualist group launched a legal action against him last month, accusing him of hate speech for calling homosexuality a “defective way of expressing sexuality.” Aguilar, recently named as a cardinal-elect by Pope Francis, told the Spanish newspaper   Diario Sur January 20 that sex “has a structure and a purpose, which is procreation.” Cardinal-elect Fernando Sebastián Aguilar with Pope Francis “A homosexual who can’t achieve procreation is failing,” he said. “Our bodies have many defects. I have high blood pressure, a defect I have to try and correct in whatever way I can.” Members of Colegas, the homosexual group behind the complaint, say that the Cardinal-elect’s words "clearly incit[e] hate and discrimination,” a crime that they say violates constitutional guarantees. “Spain is a modern country and a secular one, and th

UK gay ‘marriage’ bill ignores children’s right to a mother and father: campaign group

Image
The needs of children of a father and mother are being ignored in favor of the putative “rights” of homosexuals in the rush to pass the same-sex “marriage” bill, a family campaign group has said.  The coalition government’s same-sex “marriage” bill is being considered in a committee of the House of Lords started today after being passed “in principle” in an overwhelming vote of 390 – 148 in favor.  Gay Marriage , No Thanks says it is aiming “to put the wellbeing of children at the centre of the same-sex marriage debate.” The group called  Gay Marriage, No Thanks , an “informal group of professionals and parents,” said today that the bill is entirely “adult focused” and ignores the human right of children to be reared by both natural parents. The group says it aims “to put the wellbeing of children at the centre of the same-sex marriage debate.”  The group has taken out an ad in the Times addressed to the members of the House of Lords that laid out ten reasons to reject th

Homosexual marriages lies

Image
Crowd in support of immoral Homosexual Marriage (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) In Great Britain   Patricia Morgan points  to the data that explodes the argument Cameron's Tories are making that gay marriage is somehow a conservative idea that will strengthen marriage as a social institution . It hasn't happened in Scandinavia , Spain , Massachussetts , or anywhere else that has adopted gay marriage. In Holland she points out the number of first babies born to unwed couples has doubled to 40 percent since gay marriage was adopted. It is as absurd as the oft-repeated argument that gay marriage will somehow improve a state's economy or that a marriage amendment will hurt jobs. Here's the thing they don't believe that you and I do: truth matters. If we speak with love, conviction and courage, on behalf of the timeless truths that government has no right to redefine—in the end we will win. Spain’s highest court: homosexual ‘marriage’ is constitutional

Image
November 8, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - Spain ’s highest court, the Constitutional Tribunal , has ruled that homosexual “marriage” is not prohibited by the Constitution, Spanish news agencies are reporting. The decision comes in response to a lawsuit initiated in 2005 by the then-opposition People’s Party (PP) , which now controls the government, against a law establishing homosexual “marriage” passed by the then-ruling Spanish Socialist Worker’s Party and its allies.  The law also permits “married” homosexual couples to adopt children. The basis of the suit was Article 32 of the Spanish Constitution , which states that “men and women have the right to contract matrimony with full juridical equality,” implying that marriage is exclusively between a man and a woman. The ruling establishes Spain as one of the only two historically Catholic countries in Europe - Portugal is the other - to treat homosexual unions as “marriages” and to permit such couples to adopt children.

Ten myths about gay ‘marriage’

Image
October 18, 2012 ( PJSaunders ) - The Prime Minister David Cameron wants to redefine marriage to allow gay couples to marry. Thus far over 600,000 people have signed a petition launched by the Coalition for Marriage (C4M) against these plans which reads simply as follows: ‘I support the legal definition of marriage which is the voluntary union for life of one man and one woman to the exclusion of all others. I oppose any attempt to redefine it.’ I have previously written on this issue and have published  24 articles  on all aspects of the debate. One of these, ‘ Ten reasons not to legalise same-sex marriage in Britain ’, gives an overview of the main issues. This week, however, the Coalition for Marriage has published a new leaflet titled ‘Ten reasons why the government is wrong to redefine marriage’ which is available in pdf format on the C4M website. It outlines ten myths about the redefinition of marriage . I have reproduced the text below. Ten reasons why t

Socialist political parties seek removal of Spanish bishop for ‘homophobia’

Image
May 17, 2012 ( LifeSiteNews.com ) - A trio of socialist political parties in the government of Alcalá de Henares, Spain , has passed a resolution demanding the exclusion of the local bishop from all local government functions for preaching the Catholic Church’s doctrines on homosexual behavior, which it characterizes as “homophobic.” The resolution also asks that the Spanish Episcopal Conference remove the bishop from his position as head of the diocese. Bishop Juan Antonio Reig Plà incurred the ire of socialists and homosexual groups in Spain when he gave a sermon  on Good Friday in early April that included homosexual behavior in a list of destructive vices. With regard to homosexual behavior, Reig Plà said: “One must not corrupt people, not even with false messages. I would like to say a word to those people carried away by so many ideologies that end up failing to properly guide human sexuality. They think that since their childhood they have had an attraction to peop

Spain’s new government to eliminate homosexualist indoctrination course

Spaniards participate in one of many protests against the controversial civics course. February 1, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Spain ’s new government, swept into power in November after seven years of socialist rule, has announced the elimination of a controversial program to indoctrinate students with homosexualist and socialist ideology. The government’s new Minister of Education, Culture, and Sports, Jose Ignacio Wert, says frankly that the civics course, which was imposed on all public and private schools, “became a course that was charged with indoctrination.” “ Education for Citizenship has been accompanied, since its birth, by controversy and created a serious division in society and in the educational world because it went beyond what should belong to a true ‘civic formation’ in accordance with the directories and guides formulated by the Council of Europe ,” Wert also stated. “Education for Citizenship and Human Rights ,” also known in Spain as EpC, provoked a massive protes
