I salute the LNP for repealing pro- homosexual laws. To accept Homosexual marriage and homosexual surrogacy we are going into an  unprecedented social experiment, the final, formal severing of marriage from procreation, in which, liberal optimism notwithstanding, nobody has any idea how it’s going to turn out.  I have, as someone who supports traditional marriage , all sorts of reasons to believe that children are better off not only when raised in a stable household , but a stable household with a mom and a dad. If nothing else, it’s an article of faith, a plank that gets built in once we allow ourselves to be shaped by revelation. This is the kind of research by Regnerus, Queenslanders need to take a hard look at in the context of the ongoing efforts to redefine marriage to include same-sex couples and surrogacy.  Being of children raised in gay or lesbian households, and it raises serious concerns about how safe and stable an environment that is for those children. Will they stop?     Police were forced to intervene during a speech by Member for Ipswich Ian Berry after an onlooker refused to depart after interrupting the address.      About 60 more people in the gallery then began chanting "shame" forcing the suspension of proceedings as protestors were removed and the gallery closed before the resumption of debate. Mr Fraser said he was prepared to move a private member's bill before Christmas for the state to recognise same-sex unions and he has called on Parliament to support the proposal. He said civil partnerships were as far as state government could go in acknowledging the relationship rights of gay and lesbian couples.  Why does this man need to push this immoral agenda? ''My views are on the record and if necessary I am prepared to move a private member's bill. 'My assessment is there is very strong support across the ministry and across the backbench, and I hope the other side of the Parliament would vote with their conscience. The bill would be introduced before Christmas; whether it came to a vote was dependent upon Parliament.''
