Twitter locks out conservative Christian for saying gay sex ‘spreads disease’ and is a ‘sin’

Image
Editor's note: The following report is written by Peter LaBarbera, a former reporter for LifeSiteNews and the president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH.org), based outside Chicago, Illinois. He shares a letter he wrote to Twitter after being banned from the platform for posting what the social media giant deemed "hateful conduct." WARNING: This this letter contains graphic medical descriptions of homosexual acts. October 17, 2018 – I sent a version of the following letter to Twitter today appealing their decision Monday to lock me out of my account ( @PeterLaBarbera ) due to a 2016 tweet describing homosexual acts as a “sin” that “spreads disease” – which Twitter deemed in violation of its rules against “hateful conduct.” Near the end of the letter, I state the following: "If Twitter no longer allows its users to advocate for healthy behaviors on its platform, and to defend their sincere moral and religious beliefs--shared by billions worldwide--th

Facebook deletes pro-family page for ‘hate speech’ against LGBT

Image
Over the weekend Facebook unpublished the page of a prominent social-conservative group for allegedly using unspecified “hate speech,” Americans for Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) president Peter LaBarbera revealed Monday. AFTAH is dedicated to “apply[ing] the same single-minded determination to opposing the radical homosexual agenda and standing for God-ordained sexuality and the natural family as countless homosexual groups do in promoting their harmful agenda.” LaBarbera frequently debates homosexual issues on mainstream and pro-LGBT media and has written for LifeSiteNews. On Sunday, Facebook took down AFTAH’s Facebook page entirely, leaving only a “Page Not Found” message in its place as of the time of this writing. Studies find LGBT youth more likely to use drugs, smoke, drink, engage in risky behavior

Image
Recent studies show that homosexual youth are far more likely to use drugs, smoke, drink, and engage in risky , violent, and/or self-destructive behavior . Fifteen researchers poured over the U.S. Center for Disease Control 's Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System, which "monitors six categories of priority health-related behaviors among youth and young adults" using school-based surveys. The researchers compared the behavior of homosexuals (and practicing bisexuals) to heterosexual high school youth from September 2014 to December 2015. The "risky behavior" included violence, smoking, alcohol and drug use, "unsafe" sex, poor diet, and physical inactivity. The   conclusion ? "Significant health disparities exist between sexual minority and nonsexual minority youth." In fact, in nearly every category measured, gay, lesbian, and bisexual students were more likely than heterosexual students to engage in self-destructive behavio

Whole Foods sues gay pastor who claimed they put slur on his ‘Love Wins’ cake

Image
Openly homosexual pastor Jordan Brown filed a lawsuit claiming that a Whole Foods in Austin added an anti-gay slur to a cake he ordered. Now, the chain has launched a lawsuit alleging he lied about the whole incident. Brown said he asked for a cake that said "Love Wins," but after he left the store he discovered the cake said "Love Wins Fag." In a lawsuit filed within hours of buying the cake on Monday, Brown said he was seeking damages and monetary relief for   mental anguish, court costs and other expenses . Whole Foods Market quickly produced a surveillance video disputing his story. “Our team member wrote 'Love Wins' at the top of the cake as requested by the guest, and that's exactly how the cake was packaged and sold at the store,” Whole Foods Marketing Field Associate Rachel Malish responded. "Our team members do not accept or design bakery orders that include language or images that are offensive," Malish said.  "

Obama admin will give homosexuals spousal benefits - even when their ‘marriages’ weren’t legal

Pro and anti-Proposition 8 protesters rally in front of the San Francisco City Hall as the California Supreme Court holds a session in the to determine the definition of marriage (Strauss v. Horton cases). (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The  Obama administration has announced last week that it will award federal benefits to several homosexuals who were “married” - although the states in which they lived did not recognize the marriages at the time. Lambda Legal , which was arguing in federal court for Social Security spousal benefits for two homosexuals who had “married” illegally before the court ruling in June and since had both been widowed, announced last Thursday. Lambda Legal`s Susan Sommer said the change “could right a wrong for hundreds of same-sex spouses” married in the 11 states where same-sex marriage was illegal before June. “You couldn’t call this a capitulation,” said Peter LaBarbera , head of the   Americans for Truth About Homosexuality . “This is the Obama

Does Romans 1 Condemn Homosexuality?

English: Drawing of a Macaroni or Molly, an 18th Century term for effeminate homosexual. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) There are many in today’s culture that do not recognize the Bible as any kind of moral authority, especially on the matter of homosexuality. It should come as no surprise that atheists and skeptics hold this position; for example, the late Christopher Hitchens once remarked, “What do I care what some Bronze Age text says about homosexuality?” 1  As noted apologist William Lane Craig has observed, “One of the best ways to defend the legitimacy of the homosexual lifestyle is to become an atheist.” 2 There are, however, a number of practicing homosexuals and activists who are not atheists and argue that the Bible legitimizes general homosexual behavior . Their core argument is that the Bible has been misunderstood and misinterpreted where homosexuality is concerned. Let’s be honest: if they’re right, and God’s Word really does not condemn homosexual behavior, t

Isn’t the Christian position to love homosexuals and allow them to marry?

Image
English: Christian Bible, rosary, and crucifix. (Photo credit: Wikipedia ) The  Christian  position is to represent God properly and bring Him glory ( Isaiah 44:3). God tells us to love Him ( Matthew 22:37 ) and also to love our neighbor (Matthew 22: 39). However, loving our neighbors does not mean we approve of their  sin . True Christians will acknowledge the sinfulness of  homosexuality  as well as the Biblical position that marriage is between a man and a woman. Furthermore, it is not up to Christians to allow or not allow homosexuals to marry . Christians are not the ones who decide the laws of the land. Different countries have different legal systems , and it is those legal systems that establish parameters of marriage. However, Christians are obligated to stand in opposition to those things which are against God’s word, so they are obligated to stand against homosexual marriage. This opposition can be manifested in different ways such as a verbal declaration, writte

Whatcott wins $30,000 defamation suit against CBC after report suggested he wants to ‘kill homosexuals’

Bill Whatcott , Saskatchewan ’s irrepressible crusader against homosexuality, has won his second court battle within the month as Judge R.W. Elson ordered the CBC to pay him $30,000 for defamation. In late December Whatcott and his American counterpart, Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality , were both acquitted of trespass charges for handing out flyers at the University of Regina . Late last week he won $30,000 from the CBC, Canada ’s public broadcaster, for a TV news show that said he wanted to kill homosexuals. “I thought they would get off, or that I would only get $1. Their lawyer was that good,” Whatcott told LifeSiteNews via cell phone, as he distributed more flyers (and what he calls “Christian condoms”) at the University of Regina on Monday. The CBC story aired on Oct. 12, 2011, as part of its coverage of Whatcott’s celebrated dispute with the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission that had just been heard by the Supreme Court of Canada .
