Ohio government authorities forced parents to give up legal custody of their daughter after the mother and father said they opposed the girl’s decision to identify as a ‘boy’ and transition to being 'male.'  The Hamilton County Job and Family Services took legal custody of the teenage girl, 17, who, according to court records, suffers from gender dysphoria . The teen is currently living with her maternal grandparents . The girl’s name and the names of her parents are under court seal. The minor was diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and gender dysphoria after being hospitalized in 2016. Doctors decided that because she wants to identify as a male, she should be given testosterone and sex “change” drugs.  But the girl’s parents objected, arguing that they did not think that such "treatment" was in their daughter’s best interest.   A juvenile court judge will determine if parental rights for the minor should be entirely stripped.   At stake are paren

Some people call it “ transgender regret”. When you change from one gender to another and then feel, somehow, you’ve made a mistake. Others call it “detransitioning” or a “reversal”. Zahra Cooper calls it, simply “going back”. “It sounds weird so I don’t usually say it. It’s embarrassing. It’s embarrassing to go back.” Under the table she is holding a smooth round stone, gripping it to try to keep from shaking. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is planning a boycott of North Carolina over its law ( HB-2 ) requiring people to use the bathroom matching their biological sex . The NAACP says the law amounts to "gender discrimination." They are urging major sports teams and organizations, religious bodies and conferences, and music stars to refuse to schedule any activities in the state. NAACP national president Cornell Brooks   said   at a press conference that "children … are being imperiled" by gender separate bathrooms. North Carolina chapter president William Barber called the state "a battleground ... for the soul of America ." The group equates homosexual and transgender affirmation with civil rights.
