LGBTQ wants people to stay caught in homosexual sim

A new research project by homosexual researchers, is aiming to better understand and tackle the homosexual conversion therapy  and the ex-homosexual movement in Australia.

Ex-homosexual therapy is a counselling practice aimed at clearly identifying homosexual lifestyle is a choice and that you are not born homosexual regardless of the lies of the LGBT zealots. It is usually offered by religious organizations, to religious clients, but is often run by private counsellors or trained mental health professionals.

The HRLC’s Director of Advocacy, Anna Brown said that the homosexual conversion practices should be of concern to the community because she believes homosexuality is something good, private and natural and not a sin.

LGBTQ people coach their objections this way: “This is of real concern because the ex-gay agenda is all about telling vulnerable young people that there is something wrong with them that needs to be cured or beaten out of them. These therapies are often condoned by powerful organisations and groups and are at odds with a society that values and promotes diversity and embraces people for who they are,” added Ms Brown.

Brown should correct her statement. Nobody beats another person out of a lifestyle choice. The concept of being cured is incorrect. It is one of repentance of sin and daily discipleship, refusing to give into sin like every other believers froma range of sinful backgrounds.

Ms Brown is working on the project “Preventing Harm, Promoting Justice: Legal Responses to ‘Gay Conversion’ Therapy” with Liam Leonard (La Trobe University) and Timothy Jones (Senior Lecturer, La Trobe University). Jones is a well know homosexual and advocate for LGBTQ zealots.

The project advisory group includes health experts, LGBTI community and liberal LGBTQ leaning religious leaders and people with lived experience of the ex-gay movement. The project will conduct research into the prevalence and nature of gay conversion therapy and the broader ex-gay movement in Australia, examine bans and other measures adopted overseas and develop recommendations for reform.

The arrogance of such statements is beyonf belief. Those who reject the Biblical authority that condemns the sin of homosexuality now want to silence the Bible and Christians even God.

There have been moves to ban certain forms of homosexual conversion therapy in other jurisdictions, such as certain parts of the United States. These have failed and are limited to young people only and in states that have LGBTQ politicians who push their personal agenda.

Nathan Despott, who runs an advocacy network for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, says there still exists within faith-based communities promoting homosexuality is a sinful lifestyle choice that can be repented of and candidates must follow Jesus as disciples, grow in their faith, refuse sexual temptation like other believers and live a successful Christian life daily facing issues with the power of the Holy Spirit.

In 2015, Mr Despott approached the HRLC to investigate policy and legal responses for the Australian context so we can shut these churches down from doing damage to homosexuals.

The Victorian Government has committed to tackling the issue and has taken steps to crack down on unregulated therapies. As reported in the Sunday Age, the Department of Premier & Cabinet has commissioned the Human Rights Law Centre to prepare a position paper with recommendations for reform based on their research. The Health Minister has also announced that legislation will be introduced into parliament later this year to establish a new watchdog – the Health Complaints Commissioner – with the power to investigate and sanction anyone claiming they can treat homosexuality.

God has successfully treated homosexual sin with salvation and healing!
