Offensive gay mural painted over with black paint

A Sydney mayor has accused Christian activists of "vandalism and intimidation" after two provocative insulting murals of two leaders were painted over in the days after Australia said 'yes' to immoral homosexual marriage.

The murals - one featuring former prime minister Tony Abbott dressed as a bride with his hand down a shirtless Cardinal George Pell's pants and the other depicting singer George Michael as a saint - have been painted over in Newtown and Erskineville respectively. The newspapers ran the pictures and millions of Australians were horrified and insulted by the profane imagery which depicts the sin of homosexuality being put onto other people.

Those behind the alleged vandalism said they were defending their religion, while Christian leaders said the murals were pernicious, abusive, intolerant and frankly disgusting revealing the ultimate agenda of the gay movement - sexual lust.

Both incidents were filmed by onlookers and footage online of the latest in Erskineville shows the brave volunteer was stopped by police. But why should the police intervene? Do not the Police uphold community standards or do they go along with the gay community standards which are totally offensive?

NSW Police on Monday said a 23-year-old man was arrested on Saturday and issued with a court attendance notice for graffiti. Really?

Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne has condemned the defacing of the murals and related homophobic and abusive comments online. But Byrne fails to condemn the offensive pictures? Why?

"At a time of celebration about the big step forward we have made for human rights in this country, these attacks are the last thing we need," Mr Byrne wrote on Facebook on Monday.

5 million Australians see last week as a massive step back into sexual darkness and abomination. Nothing to celebrate - but to mourn the sexual deviance promoted by our current PM.

The Labor mayor refused to take questions but said on Facebook he pledged to work with police to stop the attacks and said the "spiteful practices" were exactly what he feared would follow the postal survey result. Yet the mayor does NOT upholds decency or decent morality - he would prefer gay porn to adorn his city walls. Why? To appease the homosexual community?

But many Christians said the mural not only mocked and attacked their religion but was a great insult to 5 million Australians who disagree with this sexual sin being celebrated.

"The murals were pernicious, offensive and mocking of the Christian religion," Australian Christian Lobby managing director Lyle Shelton said.

"It says something of the tolerance of Christians that the only action taken was to quietly paint them over in the middle of the night.

"It says something of the new intolerance towards Christianity that there were no secular voices condemning the murals. Imagine if someone painted the prophet Mohamed like this?"

Artist Scott Marsh, who painted both very crude offensive murals, completed the George Michael piece almost a year ago after the homosexual icon's death. But the mural are related to the same-sex marriage survey and the push by the homosexual community for normalization.

Mr Marsh told his Instagram followers he felt "terrible" that locals were being made to endure "intimidation and bullshit". Yet he was prepared to intimidate, abuse, mock two leaders of our country. This is cynical blindness

The 23-year-old arrested man is expected to appear at Sydney's Downing Centre Local Court in early December.
