LGBT argument - Other countries passed homosexual marriage why don't we?

Why should any country subject itself to the definitions of other countries

Many LGBT activists claimed we were backward in not approving immoral sinful homosexual marriage. LGBT activists said the sky hadn't fallen. Other countries have done this! This is embarrassing!
Should our country follow countries where child marriages are allowed or forced marriage? Where marriage may be terminated only at the unfettered will of the husband? “What makes some of these characteristics immutable and others not?”

Marriage moved from church law to common law to be abused and twisted by politicians. But there seems to have been no intention in that decision to identify the concept of marriage by reference to the laws used in other countries. When looked at on a global scale, by far the vast majority of other nations do not recognise same sex marriage, then this “international” criterion is not going to assist the proponents of change unless they can identify some “subset” of countries for comparison.

It was a mistake to allow LGBT activists to push their immoral agenda
